I don't know if "having kids in the school system" is a good requirement. (The next poster said only 1 of the 6 candidates has kids enrolled.) I do think if they have kids who are in private school and not public school, that's a hard no. I do think if they have kids who are now in college or even late 20s, I think that's OK. |

| Shebta Evans was at a graduation today. Lynne Harris at another one last week. Those ceremonies are long and if you don't have a graduate in the ceremony, why are they spending their time at those ceremonies? Nothing better to do? They love the publicity? |

A board member has to be at each graduation ceremony to officially preside. |
