STA at Good Counsel
STAB at PVI
Severn at Landon
BL at Saint Andrews (FL)
McDonogh at Saint Thomas Aquinas (FL)
The Woodlands (TX) at Calvert Hall

Neutral's Picks:

STA over Good Counsel in a very close contest (1 - 2 margin)
PVI over STAB by 8+ (the former Taft Coach who is now at STAB is off to an 0-3 start)
Landon over Severn by 3 - 4 (Admirals are off to a 3-0 start)
BL over Saint Andrews by 6 on their annual spring break tour
McDonogh over national football powerhouse Saint Thomas Aquinas by 7 - 8. Saint Thomas gave BL a very good game for the first half the other night.
Calvert Hall over the Woodlands by 9 - 10.
Gilman over Norfolk Academy by 8

Enjoy the spring like temperatures today!

Gc over sta. I’ll take the better coach.
Pvi in a rout
BL in a rout
McD in a rout
Chc in a rout
Gilman in a rout
GZ in a rout over boc.
Landon at home over Severn by 1.

Can't figure out why the WCAC doesn't have a lower and an upper division for lacrosse similar to what they do in football.

Programs like O'Connell, McNamara, Ryken Ireton, Carroll, etc. would lose to Next Level and Mad Lax 8th grade club teams.

GZ or SJC or PVI get nothing out of beating a team by 15+ goals and neither does the team that so over-matched.

WCAC commissionor continues to show he has zero brain upstairs and is just lazy.

Totally agree. O’Connell and Ireton especially are teams of boys who just want to play in HS it makes no sense for them to compete with teams of college recruits.

How would you break out the divisions:

In no particular order:

Elite:
1) SJC
2) Gonzaga
3) PVI
4) ?
5) ?

Lower:
1) Ryken
2) McNamara
3) Ireton
4) O'Connell
5) ?

How do you determine 2 Elite 1 Lower between GC, Heights, Dematha?

Lower champion moves up to Elite and 5th place in Elite moves down to Lower each year.

I agree to some extent but is it really "fair" to that one team that is going to have to pound the other division for one year when it is "competitive" with the other teams.

The problem is that the three teams listed above along with Ireton have had recent college commits. They want to play v top competition for recruiting. Also, DM beat PVI handily last year and PVI beat Gonzaga 2x last year. That is just the most recent season. I could easily see one of them beating them this year and they were in the finals last year. The same situation happens in all leagues. What do they get out of it? A chance to play better competition and the higher teams a chance to get minutes for the 45 person rosters.

Wow. Spellcheck changed DeMatha to Deaths. Let’s go with DeMatha as the 4th.

Surprisingly it wasn't a blow out, but GC beat STA 12-10.

Doesn’t say much about good counsel given how bad sta is this year
