We’ll see. Better get that defense squared away in front of the young goaltender this week. Michigan pole didn’t do much and the sophomore pole who everyone says is legit needs to stop chasing stick and try to stop someone.

Some really good games scheduled for next week.

Sadly, the MIAA went 6-1 this past week against IAC / WCAC teams.

Hopefully things change this week!

I'll try to keep tally of MIAA vs DC area privates (IAC / WCAC only)

Current Score after Week 1:
Baltimore (MIAA): 6
Washington DC (IAC/WCAC): 1

Baltimore W's:
BL over SJC
McDonogh over GZ
St Pauls over Landon
Gilman over GP
Severn over STA
MSJ over Ryken

DC W's:
Prep over Saint Mary's

IAC and WCAC needs to step it up this week in non league play otherwise its pretty clear this is a very down year for DMV lacrosse.

final

STP absolutely stole this game for them.

*STP goalie

Landon mad lax players are all hype. Can’t shoot

Made the St Paul’s goalie look like an all American

Don't let your hatred of madlax cloud the fact that the goalie played an awesome game.

SP goalie played well. forced passes made it easy on him. Bigger issue is def unit and clears. You’d expect clears to get better as season goes on. But… def unit doesn’t look very good. After watching GP/Landon struggles…. Bullis appears to be the IAC team with least amount of problems.

Bullis has played nobody this year. Hard to tell how good they are. Wont be challenged until they play Episcopal Academy.

Prep is the favorite unless current coaching staff jokes.

Prep is definitely the favorite. Bullis is not good at all. I know it was only a scrimmage but McDonogh could’ve beaten them by 20 if they left starters in.

SJC’s freshman group is very weak. Doesn’t bode well for the future there.

Too much talent spread around . No area private has a loaded 2027 class.

The SJC boosters are dellusional

Gonzaga needs to get it together and fast too. The Eagles looked like a JV team against McDonogh on Friday night during their home opener.

Good Counsel is quietly off to a 3-0 start. Falcons vs Saint Albans will be an interesting contest to follow tomorrow.

That one W isn't much to hang your hat on. St. Mary's will be lucky to win 3 games in their league this year.

I predict Good Counsel is going to blow out STA.

Damn . Was the game in Baltimore at Gonzaga.

Cant remember the last time GZ has lost by 10 goals to McDonogh or any team in general

They lost by more than 15 to SJC in '22.

Games for Tuesday March 12th:

STA at Good Counsel
STAB at PVI
Severn at Landon
BL at Saint Andrews (FL)
McDonogh at Saint Thomas Aquinas (FL)
The Woodlands (TX) at Calvert Hall

Neutral's Picks:

STA over Good Counsel in a very close contest (1 - 2 margin)
PVI over STAB by 8+ (the former Taft Coach who is now at STAB is off to an 0-3 start)
Landon over Severn by 3 - 4 (Admirals are off to a 3-0 start)
BL over Saint Andrews by 6 on their annual spring break tour
McDonogh over national football powerhouse Saint Thomas Aquinas by 7 - 8. Saint Thomas gave BL a very good game for the first half the other night.

Gilman over Norfolk Academy by 8

Enjoy the spring like temperatures today!
