| Search back old post as there were lengthy discussions when the article came out 2 years ago. The issue was within the Chinese Immersion Program and was unknown to most parents until the WTOP article came out. While I don't doubt that there was a problem, the article itself is very one sided due to the school inability to respond. |

| Isn't it an old story from College Gardens? I saw a statement from Frank Stetson in the Gazette that the problem does not exist there anymore. |

| I think the fact that the principal did not come back the next year says a lot. Why DCPS took him? Nobody has been able to explain that yet. |

How the issue could have been limited to Chinese Imm. Program since kids are not confined to the classrooms for the whole day long? In addition, the article said that kids were slammed into the walls in the hallways righ? How could such a thing be limited to any single group of children? Did you check the date of the article? It was written in Spring 2011. |

I also wonder about the incident. Was it reported to MCPS or is the new principal claiming he hasn't seen anything. |

The principal who was a College Garden during the bullying was at the helm at a DCPS school when cocaine was brought into the school and passed around a classroom. While drugs could get into any school, previous to Dupont coming the school had been safe and orderly. Things became chaotic very quickly upon his arrival.
How does this guy still have a job? |

| I only see one reference to "Tuesday" which the poster did not describe and was not sure what happened. I can't judge the reputation of the school on that comment... |

| Supposedly someone's figers got cought in the door this week at that school, was it Tuesday? I don't know. Little boy I think, got hurt. Don't know any deatails. I don't have my kids there, just heard at the gym class where my kids go to, from someone's father who have heard from someone, who have heard from someone, so I have no idea if that is even true. |

| Yeah, someone's fingers got caught in a door, paramedics and child's parents were called. They sent a letter home about it (or an email - I've already forgotten). I don't know any more about it than that, though. |
