On the latest VLC mid season tryout announcements I noticed coaches names with teams. Are these the B teams or A teams that are having supplemental tryouts.

If my son can make it, it would probably be for a B squad.

The 2028 B team is pretty tight. They have been playing together for awhile. You may want to find out what position they are looking for before tryouts. You may have a better chance with the other VLC 28 team.

How is the merger with Cavs working?

Really well. They seem to be assimilating things and ownership apparently wants to grow in northern Virginia. From what I can tell the Cavs owners are actually running VLC now and younger ages with two teams should be strong offerings.

not sure who is coaching 2025 and 2026 teams but I think they are only offering one team at that age group. The 2025 team has their last big push toward recruiting this summer and apparently has some very strong players

This may be lot to ask but would love if anyone could start summary of coaches/teams at each level - it’s hard to get consistent picture

I heard it's mixed. The 2024s are a solid team, but that's pre-Cavs squad. Heard also Hammers is more appealing to a growing number of folks in Loudoun area.

thanks VLC director. I'm not sure I'd say things are going "really well" with the fact the program didn't even offer a 2027 team, had one of their 2028 teams implode right before HOCO throwing HOCO' 2028 schedule all over the place, went from 3 2029 teams to 2 in the last year - with both of those teams more Cavs than anything else and all levels have been bleeding players over the last year.

Why would a parent need to know the coaches/teams at every level? The website is not up to date but why do you need to know who is on every team? the recruiting from 2022-2024 is public and that should be enough

Will VLC have 2 teams or 1 for the 31 age group?

If it is 2, will both play in HOCO?

If it is 1, will they cap the roster at a certain number?
