Do you mean West Springfield in C2? Thought Westfield was D or did they change recently? |
It's nuts that 2 teams out of YT, Langlely, Madison, and Oakton won't make it to states. As of now, they are 1,2,4, and 5 in laxnumbers. |
WestPo |
Oakton will draw YT in regionals unless they win district over Madison. So Langley/Madison will likely play for shot at states. |
I think Oakton/Madison is a toss up- Oakton lost to yorktown by 3 while Madison lost by 5. I feel it could be either team playing Yorktown in regions. Either way I agree it is wrong that only 2 teams out of the Yorktown/Madison/Oakton/Langely teams will make it to states when any one of them would crush any team besides yorktown and battlefield. |
Watched Yorktown play Oakton and Madison. My impression was Madison is the stronger team. Madison seemed to have a deeper, faster, and more skilled overall roster. Oakton seemed more dependent on a smaller group of outstanding players. |
So BF won’t it make past quarter finals. |
All of them can beat BF. |
This will not age well. |
They certainly can, but 2 of the 3 did not when they played them this year. |
.....that was 4. |
sorry mistype 2 of the 4 |
Okay, from my understanding from a single district whichever 2 teams make it to the final, automatically go to regions, if a team fails in the semifinals to district final they are done completely? Please let me know if this is wrong this is just what I have been told, I am new to this. |
Anyone has a chance on any given day. All 5 teams are competitive with each other. Take your BF troll hate elsewhere. |
All of the top contenders have played competitively but lost by 3 or more to Yorktown. How do you stop Yorktown? Western almost got them. Can the rest of the contenders learn something from Western's game plan? Last year Woodson had a great strategy in the State Quarter finals by slowing the game down to limit positions and nearly pulled off the upset 10-9. In most games the BF/Oak/Mad/Lang are the high tempo team, but can they out high tempo Yorktown? |
