Steven Mensch, president of Tyler Perry Studios, died in a plane crash last night. Coincidence or purely accidental? Hmm. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/steve-mensch-tyler-perry-studios-president-killed-plane-crash-rcna183311 |
One of Diddy defense lawyers quit (requested to be removed from the case) saying “under no circumstance” can he continue on the case.

Not really...not at all. |
Yep just like how many politicians are being very quiet right now. |
Just saw an Alley Carter video and wow is all I can say. |
I have no idea what that means. |
“Ally Carter has accused Diddy of being involved in exploitative activities, claiming that these incidents took place during elite parties involving powerful figures from the entertainment industry. Carter has described these parties as places where abuse occurred under the guise of extravagant celebrations.” |
She also did an interview with 60 minutes. |
What was your "wow" moment? This seems like stuff we already knew. Did she reveal anything new? |
Because of your post, I googled Alley Carter. I just read an article about how she is blaming Diddy for the California wildfires. Umm.. OK. |
Sometimes that happens when the lawyer knows the client is gojng to perjure himself. A lawyer cannot suborn perjury so if he knows the client is going to lie the lawyer has to ask to be removed from the case. It’s why a lot of defense lawyers don’t ask their clients for the truth. Another possible reason is that the attorney has a connection to one of the material witnesses (previously represented them, or a family member or friend or something). It would be really unusual for a defense attorney to ask to be recused just because their client is gross. Defense attorneys who do sex crimes know that this is part of the deal, and the idea is that even super gross people are entitled to a vigorous defense. It’s one reason I could never do criminal law! |
I agree. I know someone who is a criminal defense attorney whose specialty is gun charges. She says that it's not about guilt or innocence to her; it's about giving her client the best possible defense she can. And ensuring the case against her client was handled by the books. |
