My roof is leaking. I had to poke a hole in my kitchen ceiling to prevent even more catastrophic damage. The roofer can't come until tomorrow morning. My husband is gone with the Marines. I just found out I am pregnant.

Am I missing anything?

The creek behind my house is a LAKE and the two feet of carpet leading up to my basement door is soaked. My mother's basement is flooded.

The good news is that we'll have an abundance or corn.... maybe root rotted water logged corn, but lots of corn!

And snakes hiding from the water.

As a PP stated, there is already a rain thread. No knocks OP, maybe Michelle Bachmann was right even if she's out of the running. It's a sign from God and evidently he cc'd Pepco. Don't worry too much, it could be snow which in this region is pretty much the end of the world. BTW, to the PP who's pregnant, congrats!! A rainbow in the middle of a hurricane. Our roof leaked too - uggg...we have lots more drama with the rain but what can you do.

The rain is from the remnants of Lee - that's why there's so much of it. The storm is spread out and moving vertically past us which is why it's been going on for so long.
