Will Whittle be around next year?

What law says who has to be paid first? He hasn't declared bankruptcy as far as I know.

Business Reasons for Garnishment:
If the LLC neglects to file or pay its taxes, fails to pay its creditors or has a judgment entered against it in a lawsuit, the LLC's assets may be subject to attachment. In these situations, an LLC's bank account could be garnished. Typically garnishment of business accounts only occur if the LLC fails to respond to payment requests, negotiate payment arrangements or provide alternative payment sources.

Which is exactly what Whittle has been doing

But while there are judgments, I don't think there has (so far) been any effort to execute them, which is what could result in attachments. Even then, short of bankruptcy or receivership it doesn't seem likely that a court would attach all income from any source while the school is at least arguably a going concern. For now, the judgments are just a court-verified bills.

Eviction is well within the purview of a court though

But for all intents and purposes, CW is using his new funds in whatever way he wants.

No wonder the die hard Whittle Kool Aid drinkers are squirming with embarrassment as the school's and CW's misdeeds have been exposed in broad daylight, where they belong. And the numbers kinda debunk their wistful hope that its just a few uninterested parties chatting among themselves

Was the previous leading thread the Kane thread!

So, it’s come to my attention that a majority of the naysayers on this post are actually students. I just wanted to say my heart goes out to you. We’ve been through tough times, and this is an important time in your lives. You didn’t sign up for this. So, I can appreciate the desire for justice, or vengeance, or even just cathartic speculation. If this forum is able to provide what you need, then so be it.

Honestly, I’m impressed at the knowledge and writing skills you’ve displayed on this thread. Should we turn the page with new funding, there’s no doubt in my mind that you will be the shining stars at Whittle. And if not, you will go on to make proud any institution that supports you.

Your words for the students are kind. But let’s be clear — the bolded will not happen.

Why would you wish this on them? What has Whittle done to prove it is worthy of having such amazing kids? All the early promises are completely dead in the water - global school with a vibrant community of 90,000 kids worldwide, renzo piano designed campuses in every major city, centers of excellence at each campus, the best of the best faculty from around the world (no disrespect to the current educators but the initial group was amazingly pedigreed), none of the stresses of annual fundraisers (apparently weekly ones are less stressful?) for parents that apparently are the bane at elite privates... No need to even mention the toxicity of the man in the middle of it all.

So knowing all this, why would you wish a continuation beyond the end of this school year on them?

Fascinating... So this thread is mostly 126 pages of drowned-in-the-Kool-Aid parents (and the occasional Whittle toady insider), who either because of ignorance, arrogance or embarrassment, have been shouting down the exposes of their clear headed and astute kids.

When the naysayers were believed to be mostly external crackpots with an axe to grind, it was fashionable to dismiss them as uninformed, petty and vindictive, but now that it might be Junior(s) sitting across the breakfast table, they have "impressive knowledge and writing skills"..

Can't make this s*** up

Hello Valmir

That response might be the funniest post to date.

Student here -- currently sitting in class and watching prospective parents tour the building! I agree with points that the previous student brought up, but like most of you, I'm surprised the school is still in the process of bringing kids in.

I'm amazed they haven't blocked DCUM on the Wifi. DCPS has!

Their web security and IT department hasn't been paid since September, so I'm not sure they have the resources to block anything.

Are you sure those are prospective parents?

Seeing as we have multiple classes without a teacher I'm sure blocking websites is on the bottom of their list of things to worry about.

They can barely afford the (crappy) wifi, much less afford to block it!
