The free super saver shipping is awful now! It has taken 6 business days for them to get my order shipped out. Now it will take another 6 days to get here...we're leaving on vacation on the 7th day, so I hope this stuff gets here in time.
I have a feeling that because of Amazon Prime and Amazon Mom that offer 2 day shipping, they are purposely slowing the regular shipping options down so you'll pay more. I used to like them a lot, not anymore! |

| I haven't noticed much change in Amazon. But anytime shipping is offered for free, it seems to take forever. Anywhere. Places like LL Bean and Gap included. |

If you used them a lot why not become a prime member- I it is the excellent and well worth the year membership. FYI if you area student (need and edu email account to qualify) you get a free year of prime.
if I order prime eligible items early enough in the day I receive them the next day without having to upgrade my shipping. |

| If Lasership was your carrier, that is why. They are awful, awful, awful. I think they use day laborers to drop packages. They do not have tracking. They lie about having delivered packages. I have complained about them over and over, but Amazon still uses them. |

I did( I'm a nanny) when that expired I signed up with my .edu address and now get Amazon student. |

absolutely agree with OP. I noticed it all summer long. It's just ridiculous and I am sure it is because they want to push you to pay for prime. They have actually lost my business because of it. |

| Share the prime membership with a good friend or family member that you trust. I've been sharing one for years with my sister and MIL. I'll only pay for it once every 3rd year. I've had it since Prime was beta and we've each paid once. It is great! |

With the free shipping, you get what you pay for. That is why if it is important to you to get your item fast you should pay- it is kind of common sense!

| I had a problem several years ago with their regular shipping and I wrote them a letter, after which my shipping issues resolved. Fast forward to now... I live overseas and make so many purchases from them that it seems ridiculous to pay for shipping every time, so I just use Super Saver shipping because it's really hit-or-miss on when I'll receive it. Nevertheless, I usually get my product within a week or week and a half. But I make A LOT of purchases, so that may factor into it. |

| We ordered a TV through amazon late monday night and it came last night (and was free shipping). OTOH, I got the text message delivery alert this morning at 11 am. |

| We've had no problems with either Laser or Amazon and we order at TON from Amazon. Don't forget much of the East coast is getting back together after the storm. Even Fedex has an announcement on their website about delays in shipping. |

Funny. I pay $79/yr to get next day or 2 day shipping on almost anything. It's worth it to me. Some of the stuff comes eerily fast. (I ordered a book at 4 one day and an unmarked Toyota dropped if off at my house at 7:30 the next morning. Kind of creepy!). |

| Amazon VERY CLEARLY states that Super Saver shipping will take 5 - 8 Days to arrive. If yours is arriving in 6 days, which is clearly within the stated timeframe, why in the world are you complaining!!! |
