You mean when she appeared on the steps of the hospital with each of her newborns? |
She was literally on the steps of the hospital days after giving birth. She was at H & M's wedding like 2 weeks after giving birth to Louis. How is that avoiding criticisms of the superficial masses? |
+ 2. Come ON, PP. I wouldn’t have expected Meghan to look like the flushed and chunky mess she was in NYC because she radiates brittle control freak vibes. But she was. Get over it. |
| On the steps of the hospital, Middleton wore the polka dot blue dress WITH a belt to highlight a woman’s post partum belly. And yes I remember because so many people were ignorant on the subject and kept joking that she must not have given birth yet. |
Nope. I mean immediately after that. And good for her. It’s her choice. |
To add: I just find it odd that, on a site focused on “moms”, people are slagging the appearance of a woman who recently had a child. Meghan had the audacity to go out in public— exposing herself to virulent criticism for her appearance. Kate made different choices. Both are valid. Neither is embarrassing. |
This is why I feel the hatred against Meghan has less to do with racism and everything to do with misogyny. |
Oh you must have missed the usual criticisms about how old and ugly and skeletal Kate looks. Obviously you are new here and this is the first post you have ever read. Check out the Lena Dunham thread next. |

No. I literally meant all this consternation surrounding Meghan will be best reserved for the first monarch, King or Queen, to publicly date, sleep with, and marry a person of their own sex. Should be interesting when it happens. The Brits will either go completely looney tunes or they'll act like it happens every day and you're nuts to question His/Her Majesty's The Perfect One's presence. All depends on how much they like the monarch. |
| All this nonsense to distract us from recognizing how little she works |
She's raising the heir to the throne. Diana didn't really even try to do that job. Will knows that firsthand, and he wants Kate to actually be a mother. The current Queen certainly didn't mother her children...and let's just say that didn't end well. Kate works enough. As we emerge from the pandemic in a year and her kids are little older, I'm sure we will see more of Kate. Plus, I'm sure there is a bit of a sensitivity with Will not wanting his more interesting young family to outshine his father--who has preparing his entire life for a job he hasn't actually gotten yet. My sense is Will and Charles are a bit of team: let Dad have his time, do what he's asked, and enjoy his family while he can. |
+ 1. Incredibly disingenuous posters have arrived here straight from Mercury. |
A lot of grace is given to a woman who just went through childbirth. Obviously, that's not true 3 months later. She better have lost that weight, and there's something really wrong with her if she hasn't!

Sorry but as Everyone knows, she just sits at home eating bonbons |
