Gasoline Vehicles: 15.3 fires per 1,000 vehicles sold (1,530 per 100,000).


Then add in all the deaths all the way through the gasoline supply line starting at the drilling. Do you remember Texas City Refinery explosion 2005 killed 15 People and Injured 180 others? There has been a huge upsurge of refinery incidents from 2008-2022. Look up the deaths and injuries around gas and oil pipelines(18 in 2024), tanker car, tanker trucks, gas stations fires(about a 1,000 a year), etc. Now add in gasoline fires from cars.

Don’t have this problem with EVs or their supply lines.

EVs are 95% efficient. The average gas powered cars are 20-25% efficient. This means only 20-25% of the energy that enters an ICE motor is used to turn the wheels. The rest is lost as heat. You have to carry 2/3 more energy to do the same work. Each gallon of gas equals 22 sticks of dynamite you are driving around with in your car. With 1/2 a tank of gas you are sitting on 220 sticks of dynamite.

I have accepted that it will not recover in my lifetime, and probably not even in the lifetimes of my children. I don't even know if they want to have children themselves at this point.

Like I said, if he'd been hired and propped up to win the presidency twice specifically to destroy the USA and wipe out all 20th century progress in this country, I don't know what he'd be doing differently.
