Apparently not? Although he seems gay to me.

I think he is (or swings both ways) and they are both just older and tired and ready to go back to a partnership. She's tired of looking and maybe he has enough money left to make her happy or at least let her rest for awhile.

I went and watched the last episode because I was interested in the Juan and Robin tattoo scene and he flinched a little bit but IMO he didn't try and get out of it. I don't know his feelings for her. I think it's really really complicated. I had a very similar relationship when I was young. Dated in high school, my parents mentored him because he was poor and lacked opportunities and role models, we went to same college, both D1 athletes, etc etc. We married without even thinking about if we should get married. It was like well its been 10 years (at the ripe old age of 25!) so it's time. It was very hard to figure out whether I loved him because he was my partner and I loved him or if I loved him because he was apart of me, apart of my community and hometown, a part of my family. It truly took me another decade to split those two things up and I see A LOT of that in Robin.

How is her mom a licensed therapist??

If I worked for the state licensing board, I'd have her under investigation.

She's clearly been abusive to her daughter all of her life and like any true abuser with something to lose, she tries to make up for her abuse by lavishing material possessions.

If so that's optimistic of her. She doesn't make what the others make who have been on the show longer. A few housewives have said their first year salary is next to nothing, less than $20k and it takes awhile to hit six figures if you are not a somebody, have not been around a long time or make a name for yourself outside the show like Bethenny and Nene. Love them or hate them they command higher salaries. Even if she did make $250k she'd need a boost from her mother to make the payments and properly maintain the home.

Did I hear Candiace correctly when she said that she only has to pay an extra $1200 per month to cover the entire mortgage? Why would she be looking at a 2.5 million dollar home if it is a struggle to pay $2400 per month??

Another question is why is looking at a 2.5 million dollar home if she hasn't been paying anything a month? In their cringey therapy session her mom said she pays all their bills and they pay nothing.

That was CandiAss's mom being a narcissist again and lying. Candi has said her mother pays a portion of the mortgage so she can stay there. I think it was a third. Her mother is truly horrible and she needs to get serious distance from her and continue in private therapy because she is very much like her. I can not believe her mother is a therapist.

Agree. Her mom is a piece of work. Why is she always so reluctant when Candiace suggests taking on the whole mortgage? Any normal mom would be happy for her adult child to become fully independent. Her mother is incredibly immature.

You would think that her mom would be THRILLED to not have that burden on her anymore, right?

Her mom is a VERY controlling person and money is the way that she keeps total control over Candiace.

Ashley’s wig/hairstyle on the reunion - ugh. Karen’s too.

I loved how Monique owned the fact that she’s from the hood, but Candiace had to clearly state that she grew up in a “country club lifestyle”. She is such a silly woman and will sadly probably turn out just like her even sillier mother.

Ashley is a beautiful, intelligent woman - except when it comes to Michael. Why is she still with him when she could probably have any man?

Here's my take (all of this is based on watching the show, not knowing her personally): I think she stays with him for the financial security. Her home life sounded pretty unstable (she even mentioned her mom living in a tent with a homeless boyfriend last season), so Michael doing whatever he needs to do in exchange for guaranteed money on her part, especially with a new baby and potential alimony, seems like a safe bet.

I live in Potomac. She was nothing special, the only one of these women who had any real street credibility was Charisse. She did real Charity gigs long before the show. Too bad they got rid of her because she was the real deal.

Seems like Candiace has some real anger management issues. Knowing nothing about this case, I do wonder what she might have done to provoke Monique. I highly doubt this is a one-sided story.
