I was dreading having to make the choice to take my daughter out of GFR because of him - she’s a ulittle and we are so happy with our coach and team now but assumed we’d end up with GD at some point and have to make a tough decision. Hopefully ML and NM continue to coach the older girls teams at GFR!!

+1000. Have been happy with all our coaches so far but had seen GD “coaching” girls during games and didn’t want that for our DD.

Interesting. Before my daughter reached the age GD will be coaching, she was the one deciding what kind of coach she wanted.

You let your 12 year old be coached by someone who was caught on camera berating his players and calling a referee a f*ggot? No thanks.

My daughter had him for years, sure he was direct and got fired up but nothing to any of the extreme’s claiming here. Firing shots on an anonymous forum is easy to do. Zero accountability. How is NM any better??

EDP registration is still open.

I noticed on the boys side that they have spring schedules for most of the DC and MD teams but none for Virginia teams. I assume thats something related to Virginia's high school spring soccer season.

It looks like for whatever reason the GFR team is in a division with all DC /MD teams. The one other VA team is in the other division.

My friend's son's RL team (not GFR) was told they were playing EDP this spring, and I don't see any teams from their club listed on the boys side yet.

GD had 4 teams, so yes they have holes. All teams were pretty solid, especially the 2011’s and 2009’s. Those teams were winning so the coach that gets those teams seems to be walking into a winning mentality. Doesn’t have to turn much around or anything.

Someone said earlier the 2011’s were told Matt Lee is their new coach. Is that not accurate?
