Offense is not strong by any means, hero ball at its finest with no creativity on offense, defense is rock solid but gets caught ball watching, goalie will need to improve for them to have any chance of winning IAC. St Mary’s on a down year and was up 6 or 7 at one point. I give prep credit for fighting. They showed a ton of character to come back and win in OT. But there’s no way they’re a top 20 team in the country, not even close.

GP has never been very creative under this coach. They have always had a ton of talent and Urick lets them shine. Maybe he should have won a few more titles but he's been very good and, more importantly, his players go to good universities. They have individual talent again on offense and the defense shined in the 2nd half. Goalie, wellll.

Prep homers on here are a bit delusional. They have been to the IAC championship the past 4 consecutive seasons.

2023... Hoyas had an all star team last season and took care of business in the IAC and finished top 5 in the nation.

2022... Hoyas fell to Bullis in IAC finals (top 25 in the country)

2021... the weird covid season, Hoyas dominated the IAC except for one loss to Bullis.

2020... No Season.

2019... Lost to Bullis in the Championship who had an all star Mad Lax team filled with junior / senior transfers. Believe Bullis ended up being ranked in the national top 10 that year.

Urick started at Prep in 2016 I believe... new coach, new era and the Lil Hoyas had some "down seasons" from 2016 - 2018. Takes time for a coach to bring in his system and bring in his coaches etc.

Urick is really leveraging the boarding facilities and bringing in blue-chip recruits as transfers.

It sounds like you’re both on the same side.

It has no sound (like they’re afraid of what the crowd is saying), the scoreboard is not shown in the box on the bottom left of the screen, the camera angle is crooked at times and floats around the field often away from the ball possession or play/action. Multiple goals missed because goal was not in camera view. It’s embarrassing. Who is running it? A kid with zero awareness or a parent who has been hitting the sauce. Either way, they need to remedy the situation. It’s not hard to follow the action in a game, especially when their so zoomed out.

Have you raised this at all with the coach or athletics department? Or are you sticking with your approach of going off the rails on an anonymous message board about your frustrations that you can’t view perfectly a bunch of 16 year old kids playing preseason lacrosse.

Why be a dou%^e? They asked a question and got an answer.

In 2019, Prep won the regular season but did not make it to the Championship. St. Stephen's beat Prep in the semis and then lost to Bullis in the Championship. Also, 2018 was the year Bullis had Shellenberger, not 2019.

Thanks Mom. I'm glad you chimed in on something already ended.

Most importantly, the offense is horrible. It really looks like everyone on offense is playing tight, the offense is slow, and the scheme was found on YouTube. One of the worst offenses I have ever seen. Do not even get me started on their clear. I think the team was playing defense for the first five minutes with the offense having only one possession. Matt Miller needs to find an OC fast, and I think he is over his head. Maybe stick to coaching goalies. First, he might need to check his ego. I think the Athletic Director at DeMatha Ed King made another bad hire. What head coaching did Miller have. I would not be surprised that after the 2025 class graduates, DeMatha Lacrosse falls all the way to the bottom of the WCAC.

This sounds like an insider's view?

It’s going to be a long spring for them.
