How can Jeff cup be a top notch tourney if ZERO D1 college coaches attend? It's not. Even if you say it is - it's not. It's pathetic to spend any money to go. There are not any good GA squads in our area. FCV did NOT show well at all in any age group at the GA showcase. You can google this as a fact. Most of the kids going to Europe will be boys. Rarely if any girls will get offers to go to Europe.

I do agree with you on your last point. Way too much social media, way to much marketing. Not nearly enough - get down to the basis training going on in this area. Bobby seems to have ruined any chance for FCV to be a destination club. The training is second on his list of things to do.

My kid is not going to VMI. However, I would never look down on any kid who is. Go stand in the mirror and stare at your reflection. It may help

No it didn’t. It came up as a college commitment announcement. I follow their page. They also announce D3 and D2 commitments.

While much of their page is pure marketing for the purpose of recruitment and keeping their pool together, I consider this hands off.

As far as VMI, no they don’t have a great program. But the school is respected and a free education is worth the hardship for some. Not all....but some.

God you are dumb. VMI is not a sanctioned military academy. You have to PAY to attend. It's not like West Point or the Naval Academy. Not only are you dumb but someone already mentioned this in this forum. READ will ya???

You are right and wrong. It is not a national military academy like West Point. There is no such thing as a sanctioned military academy. On the other hand, in state is like 30 all in and ROTC can cover it. Just like Texas A&M, Norwich, the Citadel, etc.

If you get a full athletic scholarship to VMI or Citadel you do not have to pay. When you don’t pay for something, it’s called free.

You are right and wrong. It is not a national military academy like West Point. There is no such thing as a sanctioned military academy. On the other hand, in state is like 30 all in and ROTC can cover it. Just like Texas A&M, Norwich, the Citadel, etc.

1. Citadel and VMI have a Corps of Cadets and is very very different than a traditional college with ROTC.
2. ROTC scholarships are extremely difficult to obtain. Extremely the vast majority are not getting their school paid for this way.
3. The vast majority of girls at the Military Colleges (VMI, Citadel) or athletes on scholarship and are not required to commission unlike their counterparts at the Service Academies.

Looking at the 16 seeded teams in the Women’s Soccer College Cup, there are 12 total players from the DC area across those 16 rosters...which is far fewer than North Jersey, South Jersey, Atlanta area, Triange area. Even the local teams like UVA, Georgetown and West Va, have as much or more of a presence from NJ, NY, PA, than here.
