I think I’m going to volunteer to be a Manager and raise the profile of a Team Manager. Enough of the Den Mom and Suck up Managers. Use some old school wrestling manager shtick - a little Captain Lou, Bobby the Brain or the “Mouth of the South” each week to keep coaches, parents and refs on their toes.

That would be awesome please tell us what team. maybe throw salt into the opposing goalies eyes distract the ref while your centerback uses a foreign object to hurt the other striker.

I have noticed this on the BSC boys side also. Parents can be not only managers but volunteer to help the club with its tournament and spend a lot of time on other activities. From what I can tell, it has no effect on what team their kis gets placed on or the amount of play time.

Yes, just like for your neighborhood swim team. Gotta put in 20 hours of volunteer work despite paying all the fees.

We have a kid who is a menace - constantly bickering with other kids, name calling, and even talking back to the coach - including pushing back on position assignments. When brought to the coach, there was NO discipline ever made. Today the club released their board members - and the kid's parent is on this year's board. Now I see how it works.
