U16+ yes, U15 and younger FCV is mid-pack and hasn't made moves. Old vs. new era.

Correct. The better U14 and younger girls left FCV for Loudoun or stayed at Loudoun. Old vs new era.

Everybody starts at Loudoun. Some leave, only a handful go back.

The difference now is the top players stay because there is a patch to stay for when there wasn't a patch in the past.

This is not false. Nobody stays because of the coaching. Sad but true. LMFAO

As long as the team gets results people will stay with a coach they dislike as well. The "Devil you know". Moving forward, Loudoun players will stay put and any that leave will move to another ECNL club. For any Loudoun player to move to FCV the team would have to be demonstrably better than the team they are currently on to take the gamble for a young, unestablished league. I can see Loudoun White through Silver kids dipping their toes in FCV before U13. Ultimately, those who do will likely use FCV as nothing more than a stepping stone to a ECNL club down the line.

Not true at all. The left because of lack of platform. Looooooooooooooooooooooooooool.

Question: Who lacks the platform now LMFAO

Did ya notice the title of this thread? We’re talking about Loudoun Co. not Fairfax or Arlington, but yes BRYC is going down the tubes. As far as MYS, the rankings are a bit weird this year due to the fact that VA clubs played a lot fewer games than the Covid friendly states.

Not any more. The girl that made the tackle that led to the Loudoun score vs FCV at Jeff Cup final started @ FCV at u-littles. Went to Loudoun a few years ago.

So, go to Loudoun where you're a winner? Check.

Continue to try to get into ECNL
Continue with strong older/legacy teams
Continue to try to recruit good players to the younger teams

They have never had a plan beyond holding a the gold key and recruit players. They no longer hold the key exclusively. Being a club in this market without solid fundamentals like a rec program or other viable player pool is not a recipe for future or long term success.

I think many in the FCV community are underestimating Arlington's presence into ECNL. It's not just that they may take some players, it's that ECNL just got stronger and GA weaker. Yes, Skyline in GA is big but they'll probably move to ECNL to join their boys (like Arlington did).

There's nothing to compete against ECNL except the GA, and have you noticed nobody is leaving ECNL for the GA?

Arlington is not taking any players from FCV. Look at a map. The rest is mostly accurate but stop with the fever dream of players leaving FCV to make your Arlington team better. They are not driving past multiple clubs to play at Arlington. Clubs that could pick up FCV players are VDA, Loudoun and McLean. Arlington is a pain to get to and frankly not that much better to bother with the hassle.

You all need to be careful what you wish for... Bobby has to work somewhere. He will be coming to a club near YOU! Heck, he might even be your daughter's coach next year. Then we will see who has the last laugh!! I can not WAIT!

That’d be great. His departure would cause the better players at FCV to leave for other clubs. A consolidation of the better players in the area would be a great thing. Yeah, yeah, some weaker players might lose playing time or get moved down to the second team, but you can’t play scared.

Bobby P to VDA?

Yep. Bring your players with you, son. We will be waiting.

No one will follow Bobby. You will get him and only him. You will actually feel the breeze from the exhalation of relief when he leaves FCV! VDA (Dominion Valley parents and kids) can NOT handle him and his "training".

And Bobby isn't going anywhere to just coach. He would only go somewhere else to be Director.
