I think the disagreement wasn’t really about tights. It was about following strict protocol for a momentous royal occasion. I know that is ridiculous for us to think — it’s only tights on kids, what’s the big deal?— but it was about following royal guidelines for a very formal event. Kate obviously is a strict follower of these guidelines and probably felt Meghan was not. Plus, Kate probably knew that the little girls wearing brand new shoes without tights or socks would get blisters. There is a photo of Charlotte lifting her foot and touching her shoe and people now think it’s because the shoes hurt without tights.

Of course dress shoes hurt without tights!

Plus, it looks tacky.

I’m not royalty and I would insist on tights with dress shoes for little girls! I also think air freshener is gross.

By some bandaids to put on the kids feet and ankles to prevent blisters. Break the shoes in before hand. Your kid won't die from getting a blister. JFC.

If Meghan shared your selfish attitude then it's perfectly clear why she finds herself on the outs with her in-laws. Who thinks F-U to your kids and their feet and general comfort when its my special day. What a horrendous bridezilla Meghan must have been. This was probably just one of many things that may have happened. Not a good way to endear yourself to your new family. So over the top for a second time bride.

Making a 3 year old wear those kind of shoes without tights or socks is begging for blisters, which looks like she got because she was holding her foot in half the pictures. It takes another level of controlling to deny comfort to a kid.

All of the articles detailing the security threats and loudly proclaiming that Charles is not paying for their security certainly sound like a passive-aggressive demand for Charles to pay for their security. The references to "terrorist threats" in another article also seem like they think they think they can guilt the U.S. government into ponying up.

The Tyler Perry security team makes sense, though. As I said upthread, if they had decent security of their own, they would have never let them live in that house. It's way too exposed.

I can't imagine what they thought was going to happen. I can sort of forgive Harry for not knowing what life is like outside of a Royal Palace, but Meghan should have known better. Or maybe they just didn't think.
