I saw an article that had pictures of workmen putting up canvas screens to keep people from looking into the back yard and windows of the house from a nearby hiking trail. IF they are living there, their security (whoever is providing it) cannot have approved of that house, is completely incompetent, and/or they didn't have much choice. One point that was well made in the critical article posted about cost -- the younger Royals don't all live in Kensington Palace in London because they all like living all crammed in together -- they live there because it's easier and cheaper to provide to security to one compound than multiple sites across the city. That goes x1 million for a house an ocean and a continent away. |
I can’t take someone who uses tumblr seriously. The only people still on there are members of the alt right. |
Hardly. But you do you. You obviously don't like any candid discussion of MM and Harry without the PR filter. |

Yeah, no. Not going to bother to read your wiki and vice articles. That Tumblr is spot on about Harry and Meghan -- the merching, couchsurfing, PR spin on their crazy life in Hollywood. Cannot wait for the biography of them by Lady Colin Campbell in June. She tells it like it is. |
NP but way to over generalize. If you could make some cogent, on point contributions to the thread maybe people would take you more seriously. |

Kate was right, Meghan was wrong: white tights would have looked better. |
|
It was a hot day, suppposedly. The kids should get to be comfortable. (The tights would have been cuter, but come on. Let preschoolers pick.) |
I think the disagreement wasn’t really about tights. It was about following strict protocol for a momentous royal occasion. I know that is ridiculous for us to think — it’s only tights on kids, what’s the big deal?— but it was about following royal guidelines for a very formal event. Kate obviously is a strict follower of these guidelines and probably felt Meghan was not. Plus, Kate probably knew that the little girls wearing brand new shoes without tights or socks would get blisters. There is a photo of Charlotte lifting her foot and touching her shoe and people now think it’s because the shoes hurt without tights. |
Of course dress shoes hurt without tights! Plus, it looks tacky. |
Gosh, why was Kate that involved with Meghan's wedding?
Imagine if she had insisted on some change to Harry's or the attire of the best man. Totally ridiculous. If you are not the bride or the mother of the bride, then attend as a guest |
???? Are you serious? Kate is obviously mother of 2 children in wedding party. Disagreement allegedly occurred during Charlotte’s dress fitting. I would hardly call it demanding to recommend tights on my daughter for a very formal event like this one. Plus she was obviously concerned about her daughter’s feet being uncomfortable in painful shoes. |
I agree that Kate shouldn't have been the one to address Royal protocol. That should have been Harry if it was an issue.
She could state that she worried about the shoes hurting her child's feet though (as any mother would). Meghan could do what she wanted obviously but the real issue was rumors were she was very rude about it. Thing seem to need to be her way or the highway which is a very hard line to follow when you marry into a ROYAL family with centuries old traditions and rules. |
Can we agree that the fact that people are discussing a photo of a kid at a wedding is some next-level nonsense? |
