What legislation do you propose she introduces? The Bill the Trump Admin wrote? Oh wait... The Bill the Senate passed? Oh, hmmmm.... Or do you think the Democrats are going to write a bill and pass it in the House and Mitch will hop to and make sure it passes the Senate and Trump doesn’t veto it. You live in lala land lady. |
What does your spiritual advisor say about it? |
Referring you to my post at 17:37. You're welcome. And, if the House actually passed something that would help and not just virtue signal, I am sure it would clear the Senate as well. But they won't. Because, Trump. |
Wait -- are you in favor of murdering living breathing children too? |
Nope. I’m not a Republican. |
So, how about them huge ICE raids? It’s being reported that ICE arrested no more people today then they normally do.
What a Nothingnurger. |
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/politics/la-mayor-garcetti-illegal-immigrants-ice-raids.amp "Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti released a Twitter video Saturday explaining why he and the city's government won't be cooperating with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as they carry out raids nationwide." Well, I'm sure he's one of many. |
So you think it’s the job of the Democratic controlled House to write and pass a Bill That reflects republican immigration priorities? As opposed to, say, the Republican controlled Senate writing and passing said will or the Republican POTUS working with congressional Rs? Are the Republicans really so incompetent they can’t write their own damn bill and introduce it in the Senate? Lady, whatever you are smoking must be awfully strong. |
Your statement reflects what exactly is wrong here........ The issue at the southern border SHOULD not be a Democratic or Republican issue. It is a crisis that we, as AMERICANS, need to remedy. Are you saying that Democrats are opposed to proposing legislation that would discourage more people from coming? Are they opposed to changing the laws we currently have in place to make it more difficult to come over and claim asylum since the vast majority of cases are bogus? Are they opposed to policies that would help stop the renting of children or the trafficking of children to make it easier to get in? And, because they are opposed to these things, they refuse to offer up legislation to make things better? If they are opposed to these things, then you need a marquee to advertise that, yes, the Democrats are indeed for open borders. |
^^^ are the Republicans opposed to those things? Because they have offered lots of yapping and drafted zero legislation. Why is this the Democrat’s responsibility?
And it should be bipartisan. And it was before Trump. But in 2019, Rs would hate the bill Dems would write with a pathway to citizenship for people who have been here for years and assimilated with no criminal record, and DACA, and mandatory e-verify, and 21st century border protection, and no frigging wall and reigning in the deplorable behavior of CBP, and stopping family separations. . Do you really think this bill would ever make it to the Senate floor? |
Um..... Trump offered a DACA fix early in his presidency. Dems didn't want it because they don't want a permanent fix - a wall. And, personally, I am opposed to the parents of the DACA kids getting a path to citizenship. Perhaps they can stay, but no path to citizenship. They broke our laws. Why reward them? And, like it or not, CBP is doing their job. And, family separations are necessary to determine whether they are family units. A third of them are not. |
My brother is a us citizen. He broke the law (drugs). He was separated from his children for 5 years (2 to go). No one is demonstrating for him to be reunited with his kids.
It’s sad, but if you have kids, don’t break the law. |
Jesus is going to come back as a Guatemalan asylum seeker and all you “help Americans first but not too much because that’s socialist” types are going to be in trouble. |
Do you have any limit on the number of asylum seekers you think should be welcomed to the United States? |
So we agree. Republicans will not vote to pass the Democratic Plan. |
