I bet you thought French Hill’s radio ad is very true to life, too. |
sToP. the cognitive dissonance is hurting my liberal brain. StOp! |
Suppressing the vote and cheating it’s the only way the GOP can win. Wrong on Tax Scam Wrong on the Economy Wrong on Healthcare Wrong on Gun Control Wrong on DACA |
Integrated enough? Are you serious? I'm concerned about my 96 year old black father who was born in a house. Those are the people who get hurt. He's a fool and you are too stupid to realize it. |
Well, my white parents were also born in houses --as were most people your father's age or older. Did your father never drive? Never work where he needed a Social Security Card? Ever serve in the Armed Forces? There are many ways to get IDs. I remember when my mom had to get verifcation--it is not that hard to find some type of verification for an ID card. |
| Brian Kemp owes more than $800,000 in insider loans to bank he helped start. The loans could be completely illegal as he is a public servant. |
| Georgia throwing out absentee ballots based on someone eyeballing the signature on the ballot and the signature on voter registration card and deciding they don't match. Not contacting voter to verify, just tossing them out. |
Spoken like someone completely ignorant of the issues at hand. And also someone with little imagination to realize the barriers people have faced. Do a little reading up on the subject. There have been tons of stories in the mainstream media about American citizens who have experienced incredible difficulties getting ID that was ACCEPTABLE TO THE STATE THEY LIVED IN. Do you not understand that states have been narrowing the documentation they'll accept? There are numerous states that don't just accept "some type of verification for an ID card" as you so jauntily put it, but are asking for a narrow range of very specific types of documents or ids that they'll accept...and then they say that signatures from one document to the next don't match, or they'll see a middle name spelled out on one document/id and given as an initial on another and reject the voter registration, or will say there's a hyphen missing here and reject it. Do you just never read or listen to real news? Please. |

Some good news on this front:
“Blocking New Hampshire’s voter-identification law with less than two weeks until midterm elections, a judge said Monday that an injunction is the only way to prevent the threat of disenfranchisement. Senate Bill 3 may have the stated goal of combatting voter fraud, but Hillsborough County Superior Court Judge Kenneth Brown said in his 23-page order that it “simply imposes additional burdens on legitimate voters.” https://www.courthousenews.com/nh-judge-pauses-stringent-voter-registration-law/ |
Actually, I do read the news. And, the woman who was "thrown off" the rolls because of the hyphen was not thrown off because of that. She was "thrown off" because she was already on the rolls and had no need for a new registration. Perhaps, you need to read the "real news." |
There’s only one woman that this happened to? Please, do tell. |

More blatant voter suppression efforts:
Republican lawmaker sends mailer to voter with incorrect absentee ballot info, listing the postmark deadline as Nov. 6 instead of Nov. 5. Mind you, this is not the first time this has happened - this same lawmaker made the same "mistake" in 2016. Fool the people once, shame on you. Fool the people twice, boot you out of office. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/412768-gop-lawmaker-sends-mailer-to-voters-with-incorrect-absentee-ballot-info |

And the machines are changing votes in Georgia

Disgusting |
Yep. “The Georgia NAACP filed complaints Tuesday with state election officials alleging that some voting machines mistakenly showed votes cast for Democrat Stacey Abrams registering for her opponent Republican Brian Kemp.” https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/1741406002?__twitter_impression=true |
