Do a little reading up on the subject. There have been tons of stories in the mainstream media about American citizens who have experienced incredible difficulties getting ID that was ACCEPTABLE TO THE STATE THEY LIVED IN. Do you not understand that states have been narrowing the documentation they'll accept? There are numerous states that don't just accept "some type of verification for an ID card" as you so jauntily put it, but are asking for a narrow range of very specific types of documents or ids that they'll accept...and then they say that signatures from one document to the next don't match, or they'll see a middle name spelled out on one document/id and given as an initial on another and reject the voter registration, or will say there's a hyphen missing here and reject it. Do you just never read or listen to real news? Please.
Actually, I do read the news. And, the woman who was "thrown off" the rolls because of the hyphen was not thrown off because of that. She was "thrown off" because she was already on the rolls and had no need for a new registration. Perhaps, you need to read the "real news."
There’s only one woman that this happened to? Please, do tell.
