Literally none of the conservatives I know are anti-semitic. They respect hard work and being successful in business, and by and large, the Jewish community's success in these areas are a source of admiration. At least in my experience.

Not sure if this is what you're insinuating, but it seems that there's this prevailing trend in the Liberal media to link Conservatism with White Supremacy and nazi-sympathizing. I feel this is a lie generated by the political motivations of an extremely biased industry and meant to manipulate readers/viewers.

Yes, the lie is a campaign strategy. The best hope the Dems have to get turnout is to scare their base into believing conservatives are bigots. It all falls apart when Democrats are revealed to be perpetrators of bigotry themselves, as is happening more and more.

I also think the reason conservatives respect the Jewish community's success is because they appreciate hard work and personal responsibility. Liberals, on the other hand, resent successful people and care more about poor, government-dependent people. I imagine that if Jews, as a group, didn't go to college and become successdul professionals, but were rather at the bottom of the ladder, we'd see liberals being supportive of them. Their sympathies always go to the ones they see as victims.

You've missed the point of this entire discussion.

It's not a question of which side is more anti-Semitic, which is questionable depending on what you count as anti-Semitic. It's that for over a year now, Democrats have been castigating white conservatives (or Trump supporters) as bigots and neo-Nazis - while simultaneously holding themselves up as the morally superior party that objects to such bigotry and fights back against it. Yet this episode, as well as revelations of associations between Democrats and Farakkan, who is the most notorious anti-Semite in recent Americsn history, shows an amazing level of prejudice themselves.

This becomes even more ironic - more hypocritical - because the Democrsts who are making antisemtic remarks and associating with a hateful anti-Semite are BLACK. So while these black Democrats are raising awareness about prejudice toward POC and fighting to eradicate it, they are accepting of or even promoting prejudice against another group, the Jews. (Why did the Congressional Black Caucus invite Farrakan to its meeting, when they were so aware his rapid anti-Semitism?)

This most recent episode is another revelation of antisemitism among the ranks of black Democrats - this time with a despicable, old and tired anti-Jew conspiracy theory. There was barely a response from black Democrats, who should have been quick to pressure an obvious anti-Semite to resign. But through their lack of action, they are condoning bigotry - when that bigotry is against Jews.

It's the hypocrisy.

All true and, again, nothing new.

Jewish people should choose their companions more carefully, instead of automatically falling for the progressive falsehood that says white = bad, black =;good.

If you had asked me yesterday, I would have said that the Democrats would hope the outrage over this particular anti-Semitic council member would blow over, but I am starting to think he may be forced to resign. Again, it would be a political calculation. The Democrats will have a hard time using the racism lie on the right when they accept bigotry aming their own members.

the liberals on council, especially silverman and Nadeau should be ashamed for letting this go. They are so afraid they will appear racist for calling out a black man.

Like I said, I am a Jewish liberal who is disgusted by White’s remarks and think that the Jews and non Jews on the Council have played this very wrong. He needs to be strongly condemned; he needs to go. There has to be zero tolerance for this kind of speech by a public official. Anything less is hypocritical and wrong. And frankly, although many may think otherwise and have so stated in this thread, all of my fellow Liberal Jewish friends agree with me.
