Wife half my age - what to expect in future

I know 2 women in my high school class who did this; they married much older men (who already had families and exes) and became "trophy wives" when they were in their early 20s and the men in their 40s. Surprisingly, it has worked out for both. The men were very wealthy which, I assume, was a big part of the attraction. They've stayed together, had a number of children, I have no idea whether they are happy or not. One woman is in her late 40s now and her husband is in his early 80s.
