OP I think if you want to stay married, and stay married without a lifetime of him resenting you and throwing this in your face, you have to do it. For the sake of your relationship with your in-laws, too. And if down the road there is something YOU want to do, I think you are in a very good bargaining position since you did this for him/them.
DO see a real estate lawyer and ensure that you do it in the best way possible. Ensure that your interests are as protected as they can be. Make sure there is life insurance on all parties to cover the mortgage in the event of an unforeseen disaster. Make sure the wills are iron clad, and that your children are contingent beneficiaries in case you and/or your husband are not around. |
