If you are in the late 30-40's age range with young kids do you look your age?

Agreed. I mean, no one except the rudest jerk is going to say, "wow, honey, things are really falling apart there, huh?" But they are also not sincerely thinking wow, she looks 15 years younger than she actually is!

If you are over 40 with a newborn people think you are younger because most people don't think 40 year olds are having newborns. It has nothing to do with your looks. In fact they probably think that you look like an old 30 year old.

Not at all. I am 44 with a 9-year old and a 6.5-year old. My new facialist almost fainted when she found out I was 44 yeesterday. She dropped what she was doing and went on and on about how she wouldn't have thought I was over 34.

I am in a Crossfit class and I was joking about how old I am and competing against all these young people...and two men were like 'whatever'--how old are you 32? I said no "44.5" and they both did not believe me. It's a response I get all of the time so it's not just people being nice.

My dad is 73 and gets placed around 60. He barely has any grey hair and goes to the gym everyday. I thank him for my olive skin and good genes. I have always exercised 5-6 days per week, taken good care of my skin and eaten relatively healthy.

My DH also looks very young and so does his mom. He is 1 year younger than me.

I think it's possible to look your age AND look good - the two are not mutually exclusive. I don't even try to compare the way I look now in my 40s to the way I looked in years past, and that's okay.

I know a woman who is absolutely gorgeous at 50, I look at her photos and cannot believe how youthful she is and how beautiful her skin is. She stands out in a crowd, and is all natural. But when I think about it, she doesn't look 30, or 40...she looks around her age, but is aging so well. I'm 6 years younger and don't look anywhere near as youthful.

It's possibile.. For example Ralph macchio in karate kid 3.. And avril Lavigne... She look 18/20..

When I was 34 the neighbor asked if I was the nanny ( I will remember that day for the rest of my life!) Now I am 49 and I think people wonder if I am the grandmother, but - no they do not ask

Jeez, lady. Why do you have to be such a negative person?

I'm a NP and people do tell me I look younger than 41 (though more like mid-thirties than 25). I don't care either way. But, I don't hang with the sort of people to throw out an empty compliment. And, I don't give them either. Sorry that you do.
