Has nothing to do with whether or not I like the information. It's sad and upsetting any child is abused. My only point was that there are probably many who were abused that have died or have no reported the abuse.

I agree with you. No child should be abused-ever, but the focus solely on the abuse in the Catholic church provides a cover for the abuses in the Protestant churches. The information compiled in on the Protestant churches is underrepresented because it only references those churches covered by insurance. The "store-front" churches (of which there are a plethora) without liability insurance aren't going to show up. No one is defending the Catholic Church on this matter, but it is time that we acknowledge that abuse isn't just a Catholic problem.

Newsflash: the masons and the catholic church are UNRELATED for the purposes of OP's question.

The disturbing thing about the anti-catholic poster is that she is so obsessed with trashing the catholic church, that she has to drag it into a thread about masons. The catholic church is totally tangential to this thread. But the fact that this crazy poster has to trash the catholic church on a thread about masons (hello?) says everything about her obsession, and why she's officially a bigot.

And, just as a bit of side information, I have yet to hear about a controlled cover up of sexual abuse and the moving of pedophile pastors in the Protestant churches. If you have information to share, please post a link.

There are a lot of people who take issue with the Catholic church's teachings and actions, or, to be more accurate, inaction when it was most important. Some of us have consciences and can't support such an organization. Calling anyone that points out these faults a "bigot" or a "hater" reflects poorly on you. Try fixing your church instead of attacking anyone who points out the obvious. This "head in the sand" attitude is what got your church in trouble.

There is no bestiality CDC thread. It's disgusting that you are glossing over sex acts with a 6 year old yet keep throwing out here and mocking bestiality. I'm not so sure anyone but you has made an issue of the bestiality. The OP of the CDC thread came back and pointed that out, that their issue wasn't with animal sex, go back and look. You took one aspect of a horrible crime towards a child and ran with it, spinning it to make your case against the Catholic poster look good, however the CDC poster never made an issue of animal sex, the subsequent posters did. Go back and read then come back and prove me wrong. YOU and the other posters are crying animal sex CDC!!!! The CDC poster simply posted a link, go back and READ.

I respect and enjoy all religions and am open to all organizations as long as they aren't criminally vested like gangs. I also enjoy learning the history behind religions from a non-emotional view point that I don't get all crazy worked up over. Every religion has some dark periods and scandals in their past. Get over it. It's not a personal attack on you.
