Does anyone else think that Kate Middleton's wedding dress was a little dull?

What's the point in that?

It is a chocolate biscuit cake and I bet you can find a recipe on line. Back to Kate, her hair looked so much better off her face. Hair is too long and too young for her and I can't stand it being in her eyes

Of course he doesn't have to work. It's all a publicity stunt to make simple commoners think that royals are also making sacrifices like others. But we all know that they can afford a honeymoon, that he couldhave arranged to have vacation time for a week or two after his wedding, that they have been living the high life right up to the wedding traveling together all over the world and will do so again once they think that people won't remember the excessive costs of the wedding.

Her dress was pretty and she looked lovely. I agree that she could have worn something grander but again they want people to think that they are like everyone else. So they also drove off in a small convertible butof course that did not save the tax payers anything.

Sorry but they make me sick.

The fact that she's a "commoner" might also have something to do with their decision against a "show-stopper" wedding.

The whole royalty thing is stupid. Commoners, as if the Royals don't take a sh*t or get old. Please, they are human beings whose ancestors connived, plundered, murdered, robbed and raped to get where they are. They are worse than so called commoners.

so?
there are crooks in every family tree
Commoners do like the royals. Commoners liked them 100 years ago and still like them.
what is that to you?

18:49, don't you know that many Americans have ancestors who did the same things? At least the royals are reaping the benefits of their ancestors misdeeds!

To continue my lecture for the other ladies of the board: Even my husband noticed the VPL. They were all over the place in the wedding photos, particularly among the younger set.

The first wedding cake had 17 different elements of nature (acorns, lillies of the valley, etc) selected by cake and tediously applied by someone who will never have to stoop to open a cupcake shop.

The chocolate wedding cake for Wills is composed of hundreds (thousands, maybe?) of chocolate cookies. It is a favorite from his child.

Now back to cleaning Cheerios off the floor and weeding the garden.

1. I meant that Prince Andrew was aware and condoned his ex-wife trying to get half a million or she would never have engaged in this activity.

2. I didn't know it was Yiddish. Forgive my ignorance.

3. As for the hat of Princess Beatrix (sp?) look at kate middleton's new family coat of arms. It has a startling similarity to her hat.

Raw silk is naturally wrinkled that way. Obviously you know very little about fabric. But I'm sorry you have had to carry around your hatred of a person's wedding dress for over 30 years...

I bet you could say a dress made of dog sh!t would smell bad, but that does not mean you should make a dress from it. The dress looked terrible. If you can honestly say you loved Di's dress, it is because you were eight at the time, and that is the sort of dress you wanted. Plus, you couldn't see her underneath it all. And I have to say, Diana was not that pretty, she was tall and blond and she cleaned up well. I think that Kate is a naturally pretty girl, and she does not have to try so hard.

Kate is a humble girl, can you all not get that? I think you should be glad of this and that she isn't so full of herself like Diana was.

Yes, of course, but we still raped, murdered, pillaged, and held other people in slavery, remember?

Yeah, but no. I didn't say whether I liked the dress or not, how old I was or whether or not I thought she was "pretty". But knock yourself out, none of this matters. Most of us on this thread are just having fun with this. Don't take it so personally.

You are totally correct PP.

Anonymous wrote:The Middleton kids DO look old. Even my dad was telling my mom (50's) that Kate looks older than her. Now he was exaggerating but she definitely looks way old. Maybe it's her whole "look" or that she wears too much eyeliner underneath her eyes. Or she just needs to gain 5lbs and plump out those cheeks a bit.

Skininess is part of it, but they also have weird jaws/ bites. Not that it matters, and they're nice-looking people on the whole.

I don't really see how either "schlep" or "shtup" fit. If you're talking about the influence peddling thing, maybe "flog" would be better... but that's not Yiddish.

Diana had just turned 20 when she married Prince jug ears. She had led a sheltered and she did not have the education and she did have the royal training needed. Diana was beautiful and kate is pretty.
