If there are no family bathrooms girls should not be sent in men's bathrooms

But men also should not be in women’s restrooms, so what’s the solution? Put the onus on all women to let men into women’s restrooms or have the occasional dad with little girls have to take them into the men’s room? I side with the majority rather than the small minority of cases where little girls can’t potty by themselves.

Women and men in every other part of the world manage to coexist in shared bathrooms, but special MAGA snowflakes think that everyone is out to get them all the time.

If we had shared restrooms, this wouldn’t be an issue, but we don’t. We should build men’s restrooms differently. Maybe have a privacy partition between the sinks and the urinals and a way to enter a stall without seeing the urinals. And of course men’s rooms need diaper changing stations.

True, but I also fail to see why anyone would lose their shit at the sight of a father helping his daughters use the restroom.

I don’t have an issue with this father and I wouldn’t have said a word to him, but my 7 year old dd would have been very uncomfortable at the sight of a grown man at the sink in the ladies room if she exited a stall to wash her hands and saw him there. Honestly, I’d rather his kids be uncomfortable than mine. People will say “just explain that he’s a dad helping his little girls the same way you helped her when she was younger,” but I don’t really want to communicate to her that she should ignore her discomfort and assume the best when it comes to men being in women’s spaces. Women are served well in general by being vigilant around strange men.

I mean, we already know you're a super shitty human. You didn't need to expand on it.

PS you're raising your daughter to be just as shitty as you are.

There’s nothing shitty in that post.

Then you didn't read it carefully enough.

I have a 7 year old and I'm calling BS on this. My 7 year old wouldn't be uncomfortable. At school they all share a single in classroom bathroom.

Did you make this up? I've lived overseas as a long term expat in the Middle East and Asia, and shared bathrooms did not exist in those places. There are no shared changing rooms or public facilities or bathrooms in those parts of the world, everything is rigidly gender separate.

Even in Europe, or the UK where I lived, shared bathrooms are not common. You do get some but those will have full door stalls. We're not talking about taking a normal public bathroom like you get in the US and making it coed. Or coed changing rooms with men and women changing in the same space as opposed to retreating to behind stall doors separate walled off cubicles.

My kids didn’t have that set up after preschool and definitely would have been uncomfortable with an adult man.

I grew up in Europe the first 22 years of my life and traveled extensively. I speak from knowledge and experience. It's not an issue.

The whole "men is women's bathroom" became a thing with MAGA. Get so real.
