The men who think they're protecting women's bathrooms/locker rooms/spaces etc

Men shouldn’t be in women’s bathrooms at all. It’s weird. Having kids isnt an excuse.

Shhh! Someone will hear you, and you’ll be tarred and feathered as an irredeemable bigot.

Hah, and agreed. OP is clearly trying to turn this into a gotcha moment against people with legitimate and genuine concerns.

On a similar theme, at my local Y, which is very nice, there is a separate locker room just for boys, including teen boys. So there's a men's changing room/bathroom, women's changing room/bathroom, a family changing room/bathroom, and a boys changing room/bathroom. There isn't one for girls. And we all know why, don't we? It doesn't mean the vast majority of men are perfectly decent and trustworthy but there are some out there who are not.

Thats weird......
Itd be better if all places just had family restrooms but they dont.

You are familiar with the concept of leering men, aren't you? Old females aren't leering at young teen girls in changing rooms. What is weird is people who pretend this doesn't happen.

So... let's bring little girls into men's rooms?

Your logic isn't working.

The only little girls who would be in men’s rooms would have their dads there to protect them. Nobody’s bothering them.

So... one Dad with kids in a place where there are stalls = scary aaaaaa.

A restroom full of men with open urinals = "Dad has nothing to worry about with his daughters."

Yeah... nope.

So because men are bad, men should take kids into the women's restroom. Now we have a man in the women's restroom. How does that solve any problems? He's likely a urinal user so why is he suddenly a good guy?

Apparently, it’s so damaging for a little girl to potentially see a penis that we should invite men into women’s restrooms so women have no expectation of privacy from men anywhere.

Goodness. Its not that is damaging, its that there is a safer alternative. You have privacy in the stall. I understand that youve likely been railroaded by men your entire life and havent been able to use your big girl bark for fear of retribution or being excised from the "in group" as a white woman but not protecting 4 year old girls is not it lady. That is not the hill you die on. You should not be exposing yourself to other people in the womens restroom so what privacy are you referring to? In the mens restroom there is exposure due to the nature of urinals. Men's bathrooms are also usually much more disgusting. Dont get me wrong, the pee on the seat from women who dont sit (IDC if you squat) and then subsequently, clean up after themsleves is gross but not to the level of mens restroom gross. Most men only sit to shi5. So yeahhhh use your imagination.

This is nonsense. You don't see penises in men's rooms the vast majority of the time.

What do you see when you walk into a women's restroom full of stalls with closed doors?

The doors aren't always closed, FYI. I have seen them open many many times with a mother helping a young child use the toilet. But dad is the only one who has needs to be considered in this warped scenario, apparently.

HAHAHAHA so you want special consideration because you choose not to use the door and the privacy provided to you. What kind of lunacy is this?

Hahaha says the person who clearly has never been in a women's restroom with tiny stalls.

Your responses get more and more loony as you post more. I'm a woman, idiot. I've raised young kids and had to take them to the bathroom with me many times. You're grasping at straws.

You've already lost the argument. You think men aren't a threat and can't come up with any logical reason why girls can't accompany dads in the men's room since men clearly aren't a threat. It's one or the other.

That makes no sense be ause if you think men are a threat, then you're okay with preschool girls being exposed to the "threat".

I'm team "Dad uses whatever restroom works best for him because small kids have weird hang ups and we just want to let them pee in peace."

Since men are a threat then they have no business in the women's restroom. It can't be both.

You're too stupid to understand what PP is trying to tell you. If men are a threat, there are way more men in the men's bathroom than women's. GET IT NOW?

So contain the threat to the rare instances where little girls have to accompany their dads to the men’s restroom. Don’t invite the threat into women’s spaces. Those little girls will spend far, far more years of their lives using the women’s restroom than the men’s restroom with their dad. Keeping men out of women’s restrooms protects them too.

This father was not a threat to you or anyone else. You sound positively insane.

Again, THIS FATHER is not the issue. Making it acceptable for men to use women’s spaces is the issue.

Some men are fathers to little girls and child predators. I’m sure this particular dad is a fine, upstanding citizen, but I still don’t want men in women’s restrooms.

So the correct option is to always send the girls alone to the women's room where there are ZERO men. Duh.

Nope, a 4 year old needs help in the bathroom. And with women like you in the women's restroom, I commend this father for protecting his daughters from lunaics like you. You sound like a predator.

Lunaics? What now? Why isn't your 4 yr old potty trained? Yikes.

Yep, definitely not a parent. Or a shitty parent who never dealt with bathroom visits.

Let me break it down, my 7 year old sometimes needs help in public bathrooms because the soap dispensers, sinks, and paper towels are often unreachable for someone who isn't close to 5 feet tall.

So your husband takes your 7 yr old only into the women's room? Really?

If there are no family bathrooms girls should not be sent in men's bathrooms

But men also should not be in women’s restrooms, so what’s the solution? Put the onus on all women to let men into women’s restrooms or have the occasional dad with little girls have to take them into the men’s room? I side with the majority rather than the small minority of cases where little girls can’t potty by themselves.

EXACTLY.

All these grown ass women who would rather a 4 year old be uncomfortable than simply walk by a man taking care of his children are positively evil.

And this is why Dads find it harder to navigate the world with their kids. We make it actively hostile to fathers.

Can't take their kids to pee anywhere because either they're the bad guy in the women's room or "how could you take your daughter into the men's room".

Don't put changing tables in men’s bathrooms so they have a harder time caring for their kids.

Again let's be on team "nobody screams and scares small children in bathrooms".

Women and men in every other part of the world manage to coexist in shared bathrooms, but special MAGA snowflakes think that everyone is out to get them all the time.
