It sounds like there will be bussing hubs for all students next year since there won't be a boundary yet. This is pretty frustrating for a family that will be within the Skyview boundary no matter which option they pick. |
What a bunch of crap. |
So even if you ended up in the boundary decided upon in June, you'd still need to schlep your kid to a centralized hub to get transportation to Skyview this August? This gets more convoluted by the day. |
Well, not quite. They'll bus them to their base school, then bus them from there to Skyview. For us that's the equivalent of flying from Washington to New York by changing planes in Chicago. |
Ugh. |
| Why is it not clear as day that this should be TJ East? If they just say those word, the parents can stop bickering and they will have a waiting list. The biggest problem here is the boundary nonsense for people who will fight to the death for - whatever. The fact that they refuse to go back on being a “traditional high school” that no one seems to want to go to, is the reasons for the endless thread. Make it a gifted and talented center for Stem, fine arts, dance, whatever - they have a range of facilities. This is the stupidest process I have ever seen. They literally bought a gifted and talented building and are now trying to drag people to it who are super worried if their 7 years of pre sports training will get their kid on the high school sports team. People are living on parallel universes. |
| Because the vast majority want a traditional school. The vote has already been taken. Give it up, you lost. |
Maybe people who don't know west from east should keep their opinions to themselves. |
+1! Thought the same thing. |
Why? Reid certainly is giving up on making Skyview a magnet school. This boundary exercise where she will throw the consultant under the bus for coming up with ridiculous boundary scenarios is all part of the plan. |

Wonder what they paid XYZ company? |
