Accepted to engineering
Public, 4.0UW/1520 SAT Multivariable calc, AP Physics, AP Chem, etc. Varsity athlete |
| Might be better to share rank to show how kid compares to peers instead of gpa. Also did the deferred students have enough foreign language credits? |
| Accepted, FCPS 4.5, 1510 plus strong other stuff |
| Rejected. OOS, top 30% at a Big3, close to max rigor. 1510 SAT, excellent ECs, extremely strong personal statement. DC expected this given the amount of apps this year. Congrats to all who were accepted! |
Everywhere. When you have no essay, cost is the only barrier. Now it's just like Pitt or Clemson or Northeastern. |
| Rejected OOS. Competitive public (but not one that sends a lot of kids to UVA), 4.0 GPA, 11 APs (5s and 4s) 1530 SAT, Multivariable Cal, Linear Algebra. Applied as a History major. Strong ECs, athlete on nationally ranked team. DC is in at his top choice university already so this is not a heartbreaker but we were hoping for this as an option nevertheless. Congratulations to those accepted! |
| Deferred; TJ - 4.36 / 1580 pre-med. Excellent ECs with leadership stuff |
Did you post an acceptance on the UNC thread? |
| Admitted to the College. OOS public, top 2% of class, 36 ACT, varsity sport captain, volunteer work, other good ECs. |
|
Accepted. TJ. Girl. Science major.
3.97 uw / 4.45 weighted 35 ACT |
It will be interesting to see what their yield is this year. My guess is it goes down. Not all of these applicants are going to be super enthralled with the school. My kid was in that pile. On the fence about applying, no supplementals got him over it. |
No. |
| Accepted. Tj = 4.4, 1580 |
| Deferred OOS, 1570 SAT, good ECs, 3.93 GPA, all 5s on APs, male |
I am back to report that my DC was accepted! |
