If you pay attention to international trade there are deals being done and the US is being cut out of all of them. Once these new trade routes and deals are done they keep going on their own momentum. The US will on the sidelines. This will impact our services economy where the US has a huge surplus. Too bad about NATO but NATO will be stronger without republicans backstabbing and working for Russia. The big winner is China. Welcome to the leadership of the world. The US will step aside thanks to the Republicans and Fox News. |
You do realize that if democrats take office, the damage is done. There is no going back now. America is on a fully new path now. There is a new world order. America elected an incompetent criminal. The rest of the world will never trust our electorate again. |

Apart from the tremendous damage Trump is doing to our economic future, it’s just plain embarrassing. That this tool is on the global stage representing the United States of America. |
Yes. The American century is over. And such an ignominious ending. |
|
“He then praises the audience for being “true pioneers” and “brilliant,” but justifies that with their “ability to get a ticket, … because you have about 50 people for every seat” for his speech.
What?” From European version of guardian |
The democrats can explain how it will take decades to rebuild the institutions and trust destroyed by the Trump administration and outline a plan to achieve that goal. But it won't change overnight or even a decade. |
PP here. Yes, that’s exactly what I said. It doesn’t matter if Dems take back power, damage is done. Who would enter into any agreement with a country who has a 50-50 chance of electing another bomb thrower. And for what? What does the IS get out of this? Billionaires are laughing at MAGA. |

Within as little as 2’years, the climate crisis could trigger a global catastrophe!

Well, sure, the United States is done as the leader of the free world and there is the outside chance that it will fall into a civil war, but at least some people won’t have to wear medical masks when they’re sick and there won’t be any imaginary trans people hiding in Somali daycare or something. |
The only thing that improves our timeline in getting back to somewhere near where we were when Biden left office is if we take action that results in Trump leaving office now, not in 2028. Right now it looks like we all are very complicit in what’s happening. |
I must pray that you are wrong |
As a Canadian married to a European, the previous poster is right. The rest of the world cannot trust the US again. You can get rid of Trump, but the world will remember that he was elected twice. The people who elected him are still there, many cheering him on. You should also note that our children are studying these current events in school. My teens and their generational cohort will never forget when the US threatened Canada and another NATO ally, and they will tell those stories to their children. |
PP is right. It's fun to kick a dying dog. Why should anyone buy American services, visit American attractions, attend American schools, endure the Apple craple, when there are alternatives. No one is going to give out back pats for righting the ship. This happened on your watch, you're the problem, there's no incentive for anyone to think otherwise. |
stop, please |
PP is correct. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gwp2me3gzo |
