Also the buttons make sense on the original Sofia Lauren wedding dress. Because the top is meant to look like a separate bodice. Putting them from top to bottom on the front and back of a full length dress is very strange.

I am grateful that billionaires support the fashion industry.

I also disliked Lady Di's dress - too drippy and crumpled - and Kate Middleton's dress - too basic and copying of Grace Kelly's dress. So this isn't a Lauren Sanchez thing. I'm hoping the richest people on Earth can do better. Princess Beatrice actually did a pretty good job upcycling her Granny's gown and tiara.

The most elegant royal/major celebrity wedding dress in modern memory was actually Meghan Markle, like her or not.

Agree--and I don't like her. She had been married before, and her dress was bridal without being "virginal." And, she was twenty years younger than Sanchez is now.
And, I remember Markle's mom looked lovely and wore a lovely, appropriate style.

Do we have pics of any family members other than Bezos' dad?

Kardashains don't care about looking good or style--it's all just for attention. As for the pink feathery get up--there is a "rule" for weddings--don't try to outshine the bride.

You can tell that the flare at the top has been taken in a great deal, and they actually were able to make the top half of her body look less freakish. I’m going to guess she asked for it to be longer.

Here's their pic of her wedding dress. I think the dress is gorgeous but would be better as either a sheath or a-line (I don't like the dramatic fishtail), and that she looks insane from the plastic surgery and corset.

Yeah, but that “rule” is for actual weddings where the focus is two people making vows to one another. That’s not what this was: it was a display of wealth and privilege, a publicity stunt, and a New Money Starter Pack that also had a wedding ceremony incorporated.

Kate Middleton and Meghan’s dresses were gorgeous. Lauren’s looks Vegasy, non-classy.

I read this as veh-gassy and, even though I know understand how it’s meant to be read, I still prefer my version.

Ivanka (who, to be clear, I can't stand) also did an all over lace dress for her wedding, with a high neck and sleeves, but it was much better executed than this one, which has too many elements. It only had buttons in the back, did half sleeves, the bodice didn't have that exaggerated corset, and it was a-line with a train instead of that dramatic fishtail silhouette. It's so much better, and Ivanka had the advantage of being tall so she could have gotten away with a more fitted dress but chose something more classic and tasteful:

I can’t believe I am saying this, but I agree. And I think Ivanka looks like a clown in both pink numbers she chose for the Bezos wedding. But her wedding dress choice was far more elegant.
