Does anyone thinking about leaving fed job (or taking a break) if forced to RTO 5 days a week?

Well why, if the work is being done?

And do you love traffic too? Buckle up.

Also, feds are also regular tax-paying working people.

This is an issue bc Republicans made it a political issue. Otherwise, agree with whoever said no one would think of or care about this.

As for regular taxpayers, I am one also. And IDGAF if someone doesn’t like where I work so long as I’m doing it. And judging by my many and recent performance awards, I am.

No, I’m ok with working 5 days a week. I’m not dragging my laptop home or doing work from home.

No. You’re a concern troll.

Not if you got hired prior to 2013. You're grandfathered into the pension percentage.

But I transitioned from part time to full time on the understanding that Jd only have to come in 1-2 days per week. I have no desire to do more than that. My job performance won’t improve but my personal/family life will be hurt.

So I won’t commit time card fraud, and I won’t be coming in five days a week. If that gets me fired, c’est la vie.

Just want to say that it is time card fraud. If you’re supposed to be in person and you’re not- it’s time card fraud. Our time cards have a code for when we’re teleworking vs in person. I’ve seen HR actions related to this and it was called time card fraud.

I’m that OP. Our time card indicates telework and onsite as well. I will correctly code what I work. So when I work from home 3 days a week I’ll code that. And as I said, if working from home gets me fired I’ll accept that.

My ability to care “how this plays politically” is long gone.

By calling the fire marshall when there are too many people sitting in the floors in the hall trying to do public zoom meetings with tons of background noise, because there isn't enough in person meeting space.

So those of us who did RTO would be the band on the Titanic, playing as the ship goes down. We're fee funded, if we can't deliver work, people won't file anymore and we'll collapse and the global system will shift to one of our foreign counterparts.

Do these out of state colleagues still get DC location pay?

Now I go in one day a week. The worse case scenario is 3 days in 2 days home, without a set desk computer at work--I don't want to have to lug in a laptop and everything 3 days a week and then set it up at home 2 days a week. At that point I am just going to leave it all at work and go in everyday.

Many of use could be switched to telework and share offices.
