If it’s one thing Israel will always be guaranteed to do, it’s self sabotage.

Why on Earth would they make being a Hamas terrorist the best and only career to become a millionaire in Gaza?

They use Israeli currency. It’s not like Israel didn’t know Hamas was building tunnels and getting rich off Qatar all these years. Why would they squeeze the West Bank government that recognizes a two state solution and wants peace with Israel to poverty but make anti-Israeli militants millionaires?

Why are Israelis not pushing for King Bibi’s resignation? He’s overstated his welcome and he’s the longest serving leader in the Middle East. Iran’s presidents and prime minister didn’t serve for almost 20 years.

Without Netanyahu, the 1990s peace process could’ve worked. Rabins widow blames him for her husbands death. Hamas was always his sugar baby and he was their John. He encouraged Jewish extremist terror attacks and Hamas terror attacks to ruin the two state talks and make Palestinians and Israelis distrust peace or a solution.

DP - just like Hamas, Hezbollah has a civic and a militant wing. Just like Hamas they were formed in reaction to Israeli aggressions. I don’t support Hezbollah or Hamas but it is simplistic and misleading (and dehumanizing) to label them as “terrorists” and “bad”. They are people who formed opinions, thoughts and views based in Israeli actions. It’s not until you see this that Jews will be safer in the world. That is very unfortunate for Jews like me.

Israel is like the US. Half are religious nationalists, and half want to live in peace.
Half of Israel hates Netanyahu. He's constantly in court for crimes. There are massive protests against him.

Israel cannot fight two ground wars at the same time. This operation just ended the risk that Israel would need to engage Hezbollah in a ground war. Hezbollah has been continually escalating for the past six months and it was getting dangerously close to Israel being pulled into a 2nd war or - at the very least - a sustained air campaign that would have catastrophic effects on Lebanese civilians.

This pager sabotage operation actually saved many thousands of civilian lives on both side of the border.

Further, it needs to be reiterated that Hezbollah just killed 12 Druze children playing soccer on a playground in northern Israel just last month with their rockets.

Hezbollah is an Iranian-sponsored army in Lebanon, not the Lebanese government military.
They are mix between a cartel gang and a vassal force like when USA military tried to prop up an Afghan government.

That’s a lie.

A Lebanese doctor who treated the casualties confirmed the vast majority were middle aged and young men (read: terrorists) and not women and children (who btw can still be terrorists…particularly if they are carrying a pager given to them by Hezbollah).

The interview was on npr this morning.

The Lebanese doctor went on to dismiss other rumors, confirming NO medical personnel (who tend to carry pagers) were injured.

In short: the bad guys were injured and maimed in certain ways to easily identify them.

This is the problem. The flippant label of “bad guy”. If one traces back the endless volley of harm between Israel and Palestinians there were legitimate grievances on both sides. Not recognizing this means peace in the region is doomed. If you really care about Israel and its people you need to change this attitude.

Hezbollah are clearly "bad guys":

-They are adherents of the radical Khomeini-inspired theology

-They've supported the regime in Syria, including via direct military participation

-They've organized multiple attacks against Americans (Beirut barracks, Khobar Towers, training anti-US militias during the Iraq war, etc., etc.)

They are clearly and openly enemies of the United States. No question that we should support anything that impairs their military capabilities, up to and including their destruction.
