OMG. This makes her "rebuttal" all the more infuriating. Lies. |
What gets me is that she is so fake and phony. She has been a Washington power broker her whole professional life, which is fine, but she pretends to be the cute Mom next door who gets her kids to the bus stop the rushes off to volunteer at school and get in a couple sets of tennis and bake cookies before the kids get home. The BS factor is up there with Elizabeth Warren saying “hmm, I’m gonna get me a beer” and Hilary Clinton wearing a Yankees hat and trying to talk with a Bronx accent. |
Please share. Can’t find through googling. |
It was so obvious she or anyone else rarely cooks in that kitchen that it made Elizabeth Warren and the beer look more believable. |
Dems are motivated by the hope they a can take someone else’s money to create programs that make them look like heroes. They hope to have total control of all aspects of people’s lives (except abortion) and be their lords and saviors. Its feudal. The Rs suck too but at least they have a hostile press to check them. We are so headed to a bad place. |
She does seem weird. I wonder why she was chosen for the rebuttal. |
She has a lovely and kind face. I looked up her husband - he is hot. That family looks adorable in the photos. |
If we had a society where a single income could cover the cost of housing, food, healthcare etc that would be one thing, but we don't. That concept has been eroded by stagnating salaries and wages over the past 50 years. So the choice is to either change the system or work within the system to make sure kids can perform at school by having food and that we don't have even more people sleeping in the streets. |
“She was picked as a housewife, not just a Senator. She did what she was asked to do.”

Suburban Gen X Women are the major swing vote this election. Her performance was what the GOP thinks those voters are like. |
I'm not sure why the GOP is cringing - this soulless, fake, and dishonest Stepford Wife is exactly how the rest of the world sees their party too. I guess sunlight is the best disinfectant. |
Because the GOP is getting crushed by middle class surburban women upset by the overturning Roe, the bounty bill in TX, and now the IVF restrictions. They thought that by putting up a white Christian mom, they could staunch the hemorrhaging of support among suburban moms. Unfortunately, Katie Britt just signifies how shallow their bench is. Bringing out the Senator from Alabama just reminds everyone of their lunatic Supreme Court outlawing IVF. Ideally, you’d have working mom Senator or House Rep from a swing state giving the rebuttal. But the GOP delegation is really just a bunch of old white men and a handful of older women. They don’t have a deep bench that is representative of the U.S. |
WTF is the bolded statement? Women in India do not die from gang rapes all the time. Where do you get facts? |
The shirt thing - it’s not actually about whether she showed too much skin - the idea was for her to appeal to the white males in the audience with the concept of an attractive white woman teasing them with buttons that almost go far enough and cause them to fantasize about her. It’s the Fox-ification approach to how Republicans like their women - non-white, unattractive, frumpy dressers need not apply. |
I think her delivery was intended to mimic Sarah Palin - speak in a distinct way that would get people talking. And if people make fun of her, then she’s now a martyr for their cause. |
