ECNL forcing Brave & Union Partnership

Just confirmed all of this news with my daughter. By now most Brave families are aware of this information. People are going to be confused and upset by this alliance for many reasons but some of us are pretty excited.

This is what a few people have said about 3 of the age groups there so far.

2010 - NVA and Union will be getting most of the Brave girls from this age group with the best 7 or so moving over to Union. The remaining players will fight for roster spots over at NVA.

2009 - The top 3 2009 players will also be moving over to Union. Once they start practicing with Union it shouldn’t be too long before offer letters are sent out.

2008 - The biggest player movement should happen here. Nearly all of the families are unhappy and openly speak about change. If the top 11 girls move to the Union 08s as expected this should be more than enough to challenge for a top spot in the Mid Atlantic next year.

3 other players on this team have ties to VDA as well.

Please remember that when all this happens you can comeback here and reference this post. In the meantime reach out to Brave leadership and inquire whether this rumor is true or not.

If your daughter’s coach does not view her as a top 3 player on her current team, then she needs to attend either external ID Sessions or practices. Notice that I mentioned the coach’s perception of where your child is in the pecking order and not yours.

There have been many cases in the last 15 years where the NoVA soccer scene has seen mass player movement between seasons, but this one is shaping up to be the biggest ever.

Not mentioned in the post above are the other players. Not just Brave, but what about the FCV players who are looking at Union? What about the VDA ones? What about the Hidden Gems? Whether people want to admit it or not, verbal offers have already been extended to a few families at ALL clubs. NVA is notorious for this practice

Ultimately Union will be getting the pick of the litter here. Their ability to get out of a bad alliance, acquire GFR, and rescue Brave has been masterful.

Not a single Brave or Union parent confirming this in any way here. Just someone with motives to see more girls trying out elsewhere.

Brave parent here. It's true. Several parents know already. We are all a little shaken. But unfortunately it is true. What it shapes out to be is unknown. But things are definitely changing. I'm sorry we all had to find out on f&$*king bottom feeding message board.

All the shakeup is bad for the kids, but from the club perspective there is no better time to be new. If Springfield waited 3 weeks instead of giving out offers to whoever turned up at the mid February ID sessions, they could turn out okay by picking up the pieces from the inevitable fallout. Revolution too if they take their time and add additional kids to a core group from FCV. It sounds like old FCV still has lots of questions to answer but they may have some extra time now to figure it out.

There will be some good players still looking for a home in late March or even early April.

This is all fake news. I can’t believe people taking their weekend time to post long paragraphs of lies.

This is actually crazy. You know damn well that if the girls were doing bad and the boys were doing good, ECNL would never say a thing. But because the boys are bad, they wanna go ferrell about merging and all this BS.

Does this mean we can’t play soccer anymore?? We should just go back to having fun!

ECNL has a ton of power rn. I don’t know if people realize this. They make clubs do things that aren’t in their best interest or players best interest but the coaches go along because they want to stay in ECNLs good graces—they can always switch clubs but will always need ECNL’s backing.

So you think ecnl backed vda hiring BP, the reason fcv wouldn’t be readmitted into ecnl?
