Brave coaches will be coaching RL next season.

Will Vienna players move to Union without their coaches? Why would they do that? There are other places for them to go.

Players can follow their coaches to RL if they want, but otherwise they are going to have new coaches no matter what. At least McLean is close by, but everyone should look around and find the best fit for them.

If DD is a Vienna player on BRAVE roster, there’s no reason for her to choose McLean over any other club in NOVA.

Hopefully not. Need the best developmental coaches at the younger age groups and the best recruiting track record at the older age groups.

Which Union/McLean coaches have best recruiting track record?

I’m betting on two Union teams for ECNL. Similar to PDA and FC Stars among others.

Why would ECNL force a merger of two clubs just to allow 2 teams?

Brave G parent there. This might make sense for the boys but girls side on both teams seem to be doing just fine.

Please. Don’t compare Union to pda and fc stars.

No it is more that the best players leave other clubs and go to union/Mclean. This has alway been the case…specially if the player is technically skilled. Other clubs in the area are not friendly to technical players. Just look at Arlington.

Arlington boom ball

Maybe I missed it (I skipped pp 2-10) but why would ECNL eliminate a club (and their fees)? I thought they were all about the $$ and didn't care about anything else.

It's so hard following all the contrived DCUM soccer narratives.

What’s the common denominator here? Failure of McLean leadership and the board’s not holding the leaders accountable even after secret meetings. Players and families are the victims, leaders continue to enrich themselves, and nothing changes.

You’re about ten years late on this. In case you haven’t been keeping up, McLean has to find a new dance partner every year because they can’t develop. Only can recruit from other clubs.

No, players and families have choices to take their player and money elsewhere. No one is forcing anyone to agree with their business decision to merge and to stay and pay dues. Don’t like your options, take your money elsewhere.
