Did teams form first to be able to know where they will practice?

Good time for girls to check out AC Milan. Herndon Youth Soccer just drove out most of their girls teams for the 2nd time in 5 years and they are following their Travel Director over to AC Milan. Full teams forming for 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2015. Maybe more.

They're using the field at King Abdullah Academy in South Herndon.

No teams were driven out of Herndon Youth Soccer (HYS). HYS has several wonderful and caring coaches for girls teams and is actively growing the program.

You can't possibly be serious. There are a few girls coaches staying with HYS who are indeed good and who care about the girls, but HYS as a club has never cared for the girls program and the girls travel program does not receive anywhere near the same level of resources or attention as the boys side.

You don't have mass exodus from the girls side of your program twice in 5 years for no reason.

I don't know that Herndon doesn't care; I think all clubs care. The issue they have is at the staff level. Their coaches keep leaving to start new clubs, and kids play for a coach more so than a club. That's a reality that clubs need to face. They may start with your club because its close or their friend is there, but pretty quickly they stay or leave because of a coach. If they love the coach, they are likely to leave with him or her if that is an option.

Are these Herndon's top teams? Do they have more than one team per age group? Which league did Herndon play in this past season?

It is the entire age group for the years above that have left HYS. Most age groups had one team. All of HYS's girls teams played NCSL this past season.

So Herndon's girls teams are done for the most part. Big moves.

Why?

Because for U-9 third division tournament they brought in two guest players from Arlington to play the entire final and most of the other games. After the tournament I spoke up about that and was told no other parents had an issue because their kids won. The arrogance of the response from him, i decided this was not appropriate for my daughter to be around that. They were placed in the appropriate division for their skill level. As a former player that my club team won state cup several times I don't need to be mansplained to and comparing a 3rd division U9 tournament to a state cup is hilarious.

He must be doing something right if the families want to move with him

It would be nice if the coaching staff was listed on AC Milan's site. I can't find the info and the person i had issues with is still listed on Herndon's coaching staff list. Time will tell on these rumors.

NCSL has not accepted AC Milan yet. Perhaps they will be up for a vote in the One AGN+M, but they have not been mentioned yet and must be admitted by the membership. That said, they can always play under another club's umbrella, like NVU has been going with Great Falls, but as AC Milan they are not in NCSL.
