100%

Your kids would actually be experiencing the real world/another culture vs plastic entertainmentville.

Oh sweet summer child. Some of us can afford to do both.

Are you dense? Its not about being able to afford both, most of us can.
Its about paying big money for crap cheesy entertainment, lousy food, and standing in the hot sun in long lines for hours listening to other screaming impatient kids and their annoying parents/ grand parents.
Did once years ago. Fool me once....

The one time I went to the parks with my kids it was a real eye-opener. It was like “Honey Boo Boo goes to Walmart” with more tattoos. Bizarre.

Wut

Some very large, loud women got in a fistfight by the Dumbo ride. No joke. I’ve been to county fairs with more decorum. Never again! Not sure if we accidentally went during Redneck Week or something, but it was appalling.

Ok. People get into arguments. It’s unacceptable, but happens everywhere.

But you jumped on it to reinforce your superiority to us low lives.

As it happens, we go to Disney a lot and have never seen a fight like that.

Oh and you had to point out that they’re large.

Fatphobic a-hole.

Look, I’m fat. But I don’t wear tube tops to children’s theme parks, have vulgar tat sleeves, yell disgusting words at each other, fight, and otherwise act like a complete lunatic in public.

It scared my kids. They are not used to it.

I will give security props, they were removed quickly.

It was the Dumbo Throw down show!

For some reason it bothered me even more that it was by a ride aimed at small kids.

Again, we’ve been to Disney a lot and have never seen anything close to that.

So recognize that what you saw was not typical.

Exactly. Disney is primarily for the little ones where they still have that child innocence and awe to enjoy MK only to have to witness those cretins.

Maybe not, but none of us want to go again. Zero interest, even if that only happens sometimes. It was hot and muggy and expensive, and the classic rides were a little tired except for Space Mountain, which we loved. My kids enjoyed Kennedy Space Center much more and we’ve been back there a few times (in-laws winter in Vero).

Search Disney World Fights on YouTube.
It happens more than it should.

I could find you 100 examples of fights all over the place. This is far from a Disney thing.

Using a season as a verb … cringe.

We’re going to Kennedy Space Center before going to Disney. We’ve also stayed at the DVC resort at Vero Beach.

So sorry — you’re not as far from Disney as you think.

Can someone with more knowledge than me share when did it become such a truly expensive thing? I am mid 30s and went only once as a kid, I think. I have no plans to go again as I don’t have kids.

When did it become exorbitantly expensive? 5, 10, more years ago?

No one is saying it is and you completely miss the point.

Fights are not all that rare at DW.

It’s always been expensive.
