No, we have protections under labor law and can vote with our feet (not to mention our actual votes). |
Not happening at my agency, sorry! |
You are the one person who works at GPO who posts this all the time, the exception does not make the rule |
No, in all likelihood, I would either have to buy a second car, move my kids to a different school, or both. All so I can sit in my office at work and write memos and rarely talk to coworkers, rather than sit in my office at home and write memos and rarely talk to coworkers. |
Fortunately, my agency gave about a third of our office space back to GSA. There is no where for everyone to go back to now |
In other words, this is called "life". The mission of the federal government isn't "do everything possible to allow dual high income households to maximize use of their two salaries as much as possible" |
Do you not understand labor law? |
It won’t be 100% RTO. More like 95% of people in 3 days/week. I expect that by year end |
Again, the exceptions do not make the rule--no one is talking about your individual circumstances but I know for WFHomers it is always about me me me so you are not capable of taking a moment to think about big picture. It is not about you, your personal situation. Most feds will need to go back to office. I am sure administration is aware of labor laws. |
Sorry - the schools are already terrible and the crime is too. |
+100 THIS! |
This is a good point. I’ve been in the office 3x week this whole time and the new bike lanes etc can really be bottlenecks. as bad as it can be I know this is still just a percentage of commuters compared to preCovid. Lots of my colleagues don’t want to metro so I think everyone will be driving. |
Yeah work life balance is for entitled little shits. Thank you for schooling me! |
This idiocy was floated in another thread on this topic. It's as silly now as it was then. |
You keep telling yourself that. |
