Most beautiful place on earth you've seen, if you're a regular person?

Every time I set foot on a beach in the Caribbean my heart bursts with joy!

The contrast of the white sand and turquoise water in Antigua and Curaçao is magical.

Honestly, the landscape of the truly lush mountains behind the tropical beach in Labadee was breathtaking. Heartbreaking how tragic the country is.

Bucket list trip for me! Did you make it out to Beaver Falls as well?

The area is super polluted and there are beggars everywhere there.

Beggars everywhere doesn't make the place itself any less beautiful nor does the pollution. Sorry.

As much as I have seen the Taj Mahal in books - standing in front of it in reality is indescribable. It is STUNNING.

Agreed, and it says something about a person when standing in front of the Taj the response is "look at the beggars"

I'm a more, cup 1/2 full person.

Not just one-
The night sky in West Texas near Alpine & Marfa

The view looming up from the road as you enter the Grand Tetons

The black beaches in Vik, Iceland on a full moon night

The view from a cave hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey as the sun sets and the azaan plays out at the nearby mosque

The rushing views from a train of green paddy fields and ponds and kids playing with unabashed joy next to a mud hut in West Bengal, India

The tidal pools in Point Lobos in CA

The swamp marshes of Atchafalya basin in Louisiana

SO much beauty around!

- Milford Sound, New Zealand, and nearby. Fjords with penguins, waterfalls, palm trees.

- Greek Islands night sky. Milky Way, like never seen before or since. Shooting stars for hours.

- East African Savannah before sunset - thousands of animals all the way to the horizon.

- North Coast of Kauai - steep lush green cliffs tumbling towards the ocean.

- Underwater ocean life: Red Sea Sinai peninsula, Maldives outer atoll channel into the Indian Ocean

Agree with this. We almost didn’t bother because it was out of the way from the rest of our itinerary, and we figured we knew what it looked like. But seeing it in person was really something else.

Pre Covid I had a long list. Now all of my favorite travel moments on early in the morning before most are out and about. Simply for the fact that there aren’t a million people taking selfies, or Insta idiots around.
Social media has killed the joy of travel.
