Fjords in Norway. |
+1 to both of these. And I’ll add Na Pali Coast in Kauai. |
Driving through the mountainous areas of Montana. |
Similan Islands
Maldives Positano |
- The view of Manhattan from various points on the plateau on the west side of the Manhattan. - The beach in Sarasota, Florida. - Most parts of U.S. 1 between Sebastian, Florida, and Melbourne, Florida. |
Being in the middle of the ocean in a hut in Bora Bora. |
Grand Tetons |
Giant Sequoias
Moraine Lake Glacier Bay (I went before the Exxon Valdez spill, I don’t know what it’s like today) Some hiking trail in Rocky Mountain National Park (I have no idea which one) that we caught at the perfect time. I was just a child at the time, but I’ve always thought of it as “Fairyland”. Actually, it’s been decades since I’ve been to any of these, but they were breathtaking and left indelible marks on my memory. |
The Swiss Alps |
Beautiful British Columbia. |
Island of St George, Bay of kotor in Montenegro
El Nido, Palawan, Philippines |
For me I think it would be easier to list places that aren't beautiful lol. |
It’s a little cliche, but I was completely blown away by the Taj Mahal. We were there ag sunrise and it was so much more spectacular than I expected. |
The Hoh rainforest in Olympic National Park.
For less normal (American) people landscape, I was blown away by St. David’s peninsula in Wales. Went there for a wedding and was flabbergasted at how beautiful it is. |
Grand Canyon, truly jaw dropping and I don't remember having that reaction anywhere else.
I also had the chance to see the sky full of stars out in a tiny German village near the Alps, which was #1 until the Grand Canyon trip. |
