None of this is the big deal or shock you think it is. |
DP yes it is among the DCUM crowd. |
Of course it’s not a big deal or shock. But DCUM loves to rag on community college and people getting married in their early 20s. |
Aren't most DCUM women about 5'2" and max 80 lbs.?? |
We always go to Cracker Barrel on road trips. And we enjoy it. |
It has been the norm to not use chemicals for some time. If you spray for weeds, and especially if you have a yard service, it makes you look uneducated, backwoods, and bad with your money. |
That's for later in the day. Nobody can beat McDonalds for breakfast. |
I don't do any social media. For me, it was a total time suck and all about packaging your life for the consumption of others. Life is way too short for that. |
We do Dunkin'! |
I admit that a lot has to do with layout. We have 2 floors plus a finished basement, so essentially each floor is 500 sq feet, and we take full advantage of the space. We also have high ceilings on our top floor, and our closets/shelves go all the way to the top. Agree with you that taking advantage of vertical space is key, but also purging as much as you can helps. |
I would look to see if floating shelves/cabinets are possible. That way it looks like you haven't lost so much space because you still have the floor space. |
Agree there is not much in between - too many eating disorders! |
Our yard has every weed imaginable and I don’t use herbicides - especially never round up. I yank out invasive vines and weeds by hand so it is very uneven. Whenever I plant grass seeds in the early spring, the lawn is a mess of dog urine brown spots and weeds by the end of May. However We have a lot of flowers, trees and birds. I don’t worry about our dogs getting cancer after they run and roll around in our weedy lawn. I would love to get the non toxic Mosquito treatment for lawns and bushes but don’t want to hurt our struggling bee and insect population. I don’t think DCUM cares about any of this. At least one neighbor appreciates the lack of chemicals. |
Yep, same. Pretty much everything gets dumped in the same pile, washed on cold, and dried together. |
I only do laundry once a werk |
