There used the be a blog that tracked the three housemates. If I remember correctly one of the attorney housemates moved to another part of the country and found another job practicing law. Then someone ‘outed’ him to his employer regarding his involvement in this case and he was no longer with them.

I think the other two also moved away from this area.

It was many years since I read that blog and I’m not sure if it still online.

As I remember two were near each other in Florida, one maybe a personal trainer or similar. One had changed his name. I have no doubt they did it.

This poster and the few others in this thread are likely part of the reason the prosecution agreed to the bench trial. Just one person like this who completely ignores the facts and fantasizes in order to blame the victim and you have a hung jury.

This is such a sad and enraging story, and I thought the documentary (which I had not seen before until this thread was bumped recently) was well done. Through the interviews with his friends they managed to give a sense of what a wonderful person Robert Wone was without exploitation. The little we heard from Kathy was powerful: their time together was sacred.

Listening to the judge's ruling was excruciating. I'm not sure I agree that they didn't make out the obstruction charge, but I appreciate that she made it very clear that she believed they were guilty of that and much more. It's disappointing that the documentary and renewed attention didn't result in new information. I hope there is justice one day.

There is no blame for Robert in my post. He was clearly a victim. The killers are to blame. I just think that what I typed is most likely what happened that night, and my opinion is based on the facts as presented in the documentary. What facts do you believe contradict my theory?

FACT There is not one minuscule bit of evidence that supports this. He was straight, he was a devoted husband, and no one who knew him ever believed this was remotely possible

FACT The autopsy concludes that three stab wounds penetrated the right lung, heart, and abdomen, respectively and caused his death; each wound was 4”-5” in depth, oriented identically toward the right side of Wone’s body. There are no defensive wounds or signs of struggle, even though Wone lived for at least 60 seconds after the first stab wound, and probably longer as his digestive system was filled with blood and burst capillaries in his eyes indicate Wone was struggling to breathe
People who like to make up stories rely on the broken capillaries to suggest erotic asphyxiation. Wrong again.

FACT Robert had no defensive wounds, it is clear he was paralyzed. Not likely at all that would occur in the shower.

FACT: The autopsy notes needle puncture marks on Robert’s right ankle, left neck, chest, hand, and left elbow forearm; at least the right ankle marks, and possible others, are not matched to medical intervention attempts while in the ambulance or at the hospital. (Mrs. Wone says her husband had no needle marks when she last saw him.)

Everyone involved says that Robert was hetero and happily married so I'm not buying this horrible speculation that he engaged in erotic play with these killers.

He was found dressed and laying in a bed with deep stab wounds but very little blood - that means someone(s) took time to either kill him elsewhere and clean up the blood. We know that these 3 are guilty and just made up their weird alibis and the police did a terrible job of interrogating their nonsensical story.
