Murder of Robert Wone on Peacock

The why? is the big question. Why would a law firm partner with so much to lose choose to commit a crime like this.

I haven't watched yet but I assume the attackers are white men, and that is the answer to your question. Middle to upper class white men get away with murder quite easily in this country.

That law partner is a sociopath. Where is that cvn t now?

There used the be a blog that tracked the three housemates. If I remember correctly one of the attorney housemates moved to another part of the country and found another job practicing law. Then someone ‘outed’ him to his employer regarding his involvement in this case and he was no longer with them.

I think the other two also moved away from this area.

It was many years since I read that blog and I’m not sure if it still online.

I knew Joe through his volunteer work at Whitman Walker, which was considerable. He seemed like such a good guy. This whole thing is so tragic.

Yes sociopaths are like this

I can't believe they could not get a guilty conviction. Even Joe Price's attorney at the end stated he thought Dylan Ward did it. But why? Was Dylan Wone a closet gay?

It always surprised me this story didn’t get more national attention. Until now, I’ve never heard of a Dateline/20/20/ID episode covering it.

This story is sooo awful. I watched at the time because I had worked in the same office as one of the roommates, who I briefly met and all my former colleagues were shocked. Unbelievable the trio got off.

This story is crazy. How can someone end up dead 79 minutes after arriving at a house without it being premeditated.

I remember reading this chilling article in Washingtonian about the murder: https://www.washingtonian.com/2010/04/20/robert-wone-life-death-and-love/

Thanks for raising the flag on this show - had no idea!

Were the men ever tested for drugs? I used to wonder if it was a tryst gone wrong but everyone insists Robert Wone wasn’t gay. Based on the timeline (the sexual assault, murder and coverup), they must have attacked him pretty soon after he entered the house. You never know what some people are capable of, but it’s so hard for me to wrap my head around longtime friends turning on someone like this.

I was a block away the night of the murder. My good friends lived around the corner and hosted a small party. I’ve followed the case ever since but I don’t think I can do another rehash. I do think the roommates did it (at least 1) but I still don’t understand why. It’s hard to comprehend evil. RIP Robert

My guess is that there was something in his water that knocked him out, versus an attack.
