| Is anyone watching this? I've been in DC long enough to remember when this happened. I assume some people here knew Robert or one of the suspects/roommates. The details are shocking and I can't believe they haven't convicted anyone. |
| Obsessed with this case. Name of the show? |
| Who Killed Robert Wone on Peacock. 2 episodes |
|
Wow, had no idea this existed. Thanks for letting me know. I was obsessed with this case back in the day and avidly followed the blog and trial. Surprised now that I think of it it's not become a podcast, tbh. Will have to check it out.
Who killed him? The three other people in the house, who got away with it. |
| What was your takeaway, op? |
I'm only on espisode 2 but man those housemates are seeming pretty guilty. |
NP. Amazed this is a series but with today's obsession with true crime I can see why. I won't watch it though--I found that whole case, and the idea that truly vile killers are walking free and have for years, too upsetting. I remember the case very well indeed. I do hope that maybe this show will generate some interest among those who might dig up some way to charge the killers. That would be fantastic. Long, long overdue, but it would be a positive outcome. I just hope Wone's wife doesn't get people bugging her as a result of this series--she deserves to be left alone if that's what she wants. |
| I followed this case but it’s just so depressing that I don’t think I can watch this. I hope one day he gets justice. |
|
I knew Robert. Not super well, but we had friends in common. He was such a kind person.
I remember being so confused when my friend called me weeping to tell me Robert had been killed. It just didn’t make sense. I watched episode 1 last night and had the same sense of disbelief I’ve always had about how in the world did this happen to Robert. |
| Such a sad case. I followed the trial when it happened. The three roommates are terrible human beings. I hope this haunts them forever. |
| He wasn’t a closet gay |
|
He was attacked *hence the scream right after he arrived*. It wasn't consensual, hence the needle marks to subdue or sedate him.
The why? is the big question. Why would a law firm partner with so much to lose choose to commit a crime like this. |
Because he thought he could get away with it |
That law partner is a sociopath. Where is that cvn t now? |
| White bathrobes freshly showered gays not frazzled. Like a scene from American psycho |
