Does this sound like adult behavior to you? Sane and healthy behavior?

People have lost ALL perspective if they are taking the time to defend gangs of males who make themselves throw up, than say, “ You can only be my friend if you drink my vomit.”

Hard to believe this even goes on. And parents are PAYING for this experience??

How deranged could one be to sit here and say this is no big deal, and in fact a great gateway to career succeeds.

Listen to yourself people…

Adult child can decline to drink vomit. Absolutely the best decision in that scenario.

But it's an extreme overreaction to call police, etc.

No---college students DIE from this all the time. It's wrong, dangerous, and stupid. If your kid is the Hazer, they can end up in prison for killing a fellow student, as they should.

From eating gross stuff?

From hazing---typically there is alcohol involved to get a kid so out of it willing to do that. Hazing is illegal, and yes kids die from this shit. The fact that some of you think it's nothing and just part of life is quite telling. Hazers do go to prison, typically after a kid ends up dying from the hazing.

And experts say as the stakes increase, it is extremely difficult (psychologically) for a lone pledge to walk away (in front of the guys they want to impress, who all endured the same ordeal).

So, you obviously don’t understand the nuances of such rituals.

Downright pathetic that adults are siding with the macho gang members.

At Dartmouth, it was cooked into the breakfast meal.

Only males would act this way.

Nothing to be proud of, that is for sure.

Extreme overreaction to call the cops? How do you figure? Most kids wouldn’t have the self confidence to call the cops in a situation like this but it is absolutely what they should do. Extreme hazing is dangerous.
